make sure you have right plug in that 45. rovan messed up and spec'd a long reach plug!. A CMR7A is the proper reach plug for those motors.

Teejay, do you guys in the UK get E85 or methanol if so, why not run it off of that? it will make ALOT more power when tuned correctly. You would need to start messing with CDI's and stuff like that, but I'm pretty you already wanted to go there at 1 point correct? i would help u a bit with the hall sensor set up and making it adjustable like i have done on my engine once I figured it out if u want (y)

Take a look at how far a normal plug reaches out into the dome ! . It is a mile off. Dan at rovan/kingmotor is changing all the plugs in the motors and RTRs that he has in stock. No one out there knows as the motors came this way from day one. This is why they pull so hard. The motors run and rev way better with the right plugs. The short reach plugs ends right at dome wall the way it should and not half way across the center of the dome as the normal plugs do. Instead of telling me what you think you know, Pull the top end off yourself and check with both plugs. The china man dropped the ball when he copied the clyinder.

Mines fine doesn't touch the top of my cylinder but remember the rovan 45cc cylinder head uses 2 gaskets stacked instead of one if your missing a gasket then that might explain the piston damage I haven't had any piston damage myself

Of hes not having problems, its completely stupid and pointless to change the plug. Don't fix what ain't broke, I've learned this the hard way numerous times

Thanks I'll get there sooner or later as far as I know we use 95 and 98 octane here I don't use petrol as such anymore anyway I use Aspen 2 lawnmower and strummer fuel at 32:1 it keeps my plug and cylinder clean and oily no carbon anywhere in sight I have ordered a 9500rpm spring but also need a better exhaust I've spent £500 in 4 days on this car it's up and running and it looks almost new with and without the shell on it so next buy will be a rovan dominator clone I maxed it out at 16500 rpm with this exhaust the old exhaust was 17800 even tho this one seems faster on top end so a bit confusing lol

I'm talking about how far the spark plug screws into cylinder! . The slant plug design cylinder takes a CMR7A short plug, SIMPLE!!!!!!!!

I don't have offroad tires for bashfest that's another £101 if I do make bashfest ot will be the later one and atm my exhaust is only good for track or speed runs not oval racing the pipe is only giving me mid to top end power till I get a new one another £120 for the cheapest torque pipe I know works

There is no way in hell you are getting the RPM you state with a motor that has the pre ignition that the rovan 45 has . we have spent many hours here in machine shop getting them to mellow out to run right! Our work here has been passed on to rovan to upgrade in future. I think you are full of beeswax . Prove to me in pic a side by side photo of a short plug and and a normal run plug in that 45 cylinder and let the people here on this site decide who is in the know! . Come on big shot prove me wrong!!!..................

why the fiddlestick would I make that up?. because you and your whole machine shop cant figure out one engine I must be a liar?I use cmr7h and with my current exhaust I get 16500 rpm no load other than drivetrain and wheels last exhaust over 17500 there are videos on YouTube and there are people who have seen my rc running it screams like a smaller bore so it looks like your machine shop could do with some help from me maybe ever thought of that rovan would benefit from me more than your team from the sounds of it and I don't have a machine shop just tools and a dremel and a floor to work on

Why don't you post a pic of the 45 cylinder with the 2 plugs to prove him wrong since it is you who has the issue?
Personally I think your full of poop mate.

I tend to give people the benefit of doubt. You’ve put a coupe of posts up with some dubious recommendations at best. But also I’ve not seen one picture of anything from you.

You’re also being antagonistic for no apparent reason. Anyway you’re a bell end and I’m enjoying reading your crap. Keep it up mate. ??
