It’s like a thick piece of rubber, it works a lot better then the Fullforce plastic covers & bartalone...
I know this because I bought those before buying the mud cover I posted from eBay ??

The thin heavy duty plastic that's used in damp proof course in brick houses is brilliant for making a dirt skirt / inner mudguards etc. Easy enough to cut with scissors or Stanley knife to shape and size. Easy enough to put a screw though, but you can't tear it very easily.
If there are any new build properties going up in your neighborhood, it would be worth asking if they have any spare.

Buy some kydex. Its cheap, easy to form if you have a oven, and is nearly indestructible.
