So since I literally can’t afford a RCmaxx engine and doin any upgrades to gain any noticeable power is a waste of time and money I’m sure this has been discussed before but I’m a noob so I apologize but for $700 is the BR 45 worth the money?...I mean I’ve spent twice that on aluminum parts ?
 
I mean it’s a billet reed case done by Bartalone or I wouldn’t even bother asking..shirley it’d have to be pretty good considering it’s a big bore and reed case over my Rovan 36cc...$700 or probably $1000 (by the time u get a pipe as well) is in my price range...can’t touch a used ALX/RCmaxx for that

Ya I’m looking at them now and $799 for complete 46/47cc full mod ported reed case is juicy for sure..I keep leaning towards 45cc cuz I know it takes a lot more to run the 5T over the baja and honestly I’m a guy so gotta go bigger!?...seriously tho I could look for a roller for the 36cc down the line...I’d definitely feel more comfortable spending $100 more for OBR over the brovan

Brovan is no slouch. I have seen one in person and it a beast. You can't go wrong either way. If you do decide to get the 45 make sure to post pics and video.

The fatboy is a money hole btw. When you spec it out the way you want you will be spending $1100 on the engine alone. Its worth it but its definitely more expensive.
 
Yep and with the pipe $1200/$1300..everything is always $100 more in this game ?..is sig series that much better?...I plan on buying in spurts ...you know cut down on food and drink...useless stuff like that?

Honestly no. The reason why I bought sig series is because I wanted to go all out on my Baja. You have to make the decision if you want to have that extra power or not over the non sig version.
 
I got into this hobby/addiction about 3 yrs ago along with slot cars and a lot of the forums I’ve been to for both were so full of elitists that they would just treat me like crap and make me feel stupid for any questions I’d ask...I built a 120 ln ft track in my basement with tables all within 6 weeks of deciding that’s what I wanted to get my at the time 12 ur old for Xmas...omg I struggled and I’m real good with electronics at least I thought and I struggled thru it and ended up with an awesome layout

That being said I appreciate the advice and no judgment atmosphere here guys!???

Honestly the sig series (imho) you paying for a flywheel coil fan cover and a vinyl wrap.....if I put my car up against a sig bet there would be no difference

I thought so myself but I got my answer before I bought it. Non sig is cnc machined. Sig is cnc machined and hand touched up.
