mate I wouldnt wait tooo long, carrum is changing weekly, right now its perfect for flat track racing, sand is mint. check out the vids on OSLF of the carrum bash, some awesome monster there!

as for me bashing the FG well come down coz I do it every weekend without fail :D I think you might be interested in the knox track for elec's.

U remember how I was treating the FG at the sunbury track? It was getting a bit of air but kept coming back for more, until the wombat opened her mouth anyway!

thought I would post up a pic of my broken cage, should have the repalcement bit in tommorow to fix.

was at a competition BMX track with a mate, couple of bad landing which turned into cartwheels. wasnt running a wing.

got my repalcement bit today so should be back on tommorow and back to being punished LOL.

The jumpts were easiily 6ft+ and about 6 ft in length as well.

I'm looking forward to having another bash at that bmx track...my 1/10th monster truck should get PLENTY of air with no effort.....especially with a 2000 watt kick up the arse:w00t:

had a great bash yesterday at carrum, here's some action shots my mate took, not much of the FG but some very cool TS powered 5b's. the motor is really starting to open up now which is great.

im getting owned on the straights, im suspection my lower MT gearing is the cause. cant decide if I should go back to stock gearing or try out some 5t rims and tires which ive been wanting to do for a while anyway.

oh you have no idea. I started the clean up last night. this fg has done more than 80 tanks now and its never ever been as dirty as it was.

removed the radio tray, drowned the whole thing in CT80 and hit it with a hose, looking much better, going to get the silicone spray out tonight and spray all the bearings and moving parts.

Just got a delivery from PSR :D

these trenchers are for 5T rears, already got the rims and beadlocks (silverbacks) at home.

they are going on the 4WD FG to give it some longer legs as my current gearing is too low.

Looks like they will rip almost any surface!

 yes a working car would be the starting point

cant wait to try them out, should give me a bit more top end speed as the rolling diameter is bigger than my current 5b rim and tire set up.

Only did 1 tank on sat at carrum before my pull start sh*t itself, didnt have a spare so that was the end of that >:(

the new rims and tires did exactly what I wanted though, heaps more top end, now I should be able to keep up with the others in a straight line at least! I was getting monstered by the MCD's and 5b's last run.

i do however have ALLOT more understeer now which im going to try and address down the line. Also I think my coil has moved and apart of the reason why my pull start broke, will be pulling the motor out this week.

spent a couple of hours on the 4WD last night. removed the engine so I could get fan cover off and WOW! I now know why i broke a pull start! set in like concrete was half the surface of carrum! it had completeley set on the fan cover on inside, all throughout the cooling fins on the cylinder, all around the coil (which is why it was so hard to pull the pullstart, and on the cowl. cleaned it all off last night, put the cover back on and gave it a rip with a new pull start and it started easy!

be careful anyone running at carrum, when wet that sand gets everywhere and when it dries it sets like concrete!

also be careful pulling out the spark plug, i pulled mine out and a couple of grains of sand fell ontop of the piston, i flushes it all out through exhaust hole just to be safe.

I always keep a couple cans of Compressed air to blow the head down good before changing a spark plug. Works great and it's portable.

It's the same stuff used for cleaning computer keyboards

pent more time on the 4wd last night, finished putting the engine, roll cage and pipe back on, also started chaging over the air filter housing back to stock FG but relaised colin sent me the 2WD version which isnt compatible with the 4WD, so need to wait for more bits.

here's some pics I took about a week ago but never got around to uploading, yes I know the orange fronts look horrible but when they are for free one cant complain! Thanks again Bruce :D
