I own an Xmaxx and Kraton 8s and a bunch of other rigs from both manufacturers. I’d like to say they both have pluses and minuses. Traxxas servos need replaced immediately but besides that both run good out of box. If you asked what truck I always tend to pick up I’d say Kraton 8s by far…Here is an article about XRT 8S vs Kraton 8S in depth.

and with the black friday sale at horizon hobby, i also own a kraton 8s roller as well as the xrt. :) i couldnt pass it up for the price! the kraton is getting a hobbywing max 5/800kv combo.

what exactly is wrong with the gt5 transmitter? its an easy to program 6 channel with good range and a gyro that works VERY good and has more than enough range for where and how i run. please, tell me, why do i need to spend upwards of $250 for a transmitter to do the exact same thing?

the transmitter and receiver is the control you have over the rig... why would you cheap out on that of all things?

Limited range, known quality issues, next to no support if/when an issue comes up.

again, it does everything i need it to do and then some.

Seandonato73, what quality issues are there with it? i have two of them and they have worked flawlessly. as far as range goes, it works to the point its hard to see the kraton 8s, so why do i need more?
