good idea bracing the engine mate, the amount of times my engine has moved , sometimes resulting in the lay gear being stripped. I wish fg would have done this from the start.

The bug looks mean renbar also sum good mods u done too may ave too copy sum of them.... I like how u ave braced up the engine too that's how u can get all that power down wiv out spinning out lol

more little changes first up engines back in after the touring car brainwave that failed due to having to much torque so new bearings/seals copper head gasket matched to the porting new ring plus its had the red race kit refitted due to it not fitting the obr/tr billet bottom end

fitted the metal carb support and a hormann angled filter tube although ive had to mod the fg filter to fit, but it sits well out of the way just under the wing, got to oil the filter and fit the outerware before use and wire in the killswitch not sure on fitting the ecu lead yet

ok been ages since ive updated this thread so here goes the front cable brakes have been removed and now in its place are a set of contrast hydro's with oddified disc's and pads only these are very different and must be the first fitted to a fg marder beetle the disc's
are ians new big brake conversion set up which includes spacers bolts pads and huge 85mm grp disc's

due to it being a marder theres no room for a extra master cylinder so im running these from my hydro layshaft one and this works quite well plus saves me having to change a lot of stuff ie extra servo and moving a few bits so this worked out a better choice

also fitted oddie disc and pads to layshaft brake

I don't see no bug or grasshopper........just piles of dirt :p Looks like you had a good time. Will be getting mine out again this year but need to get the 1:1 sorted first. Unfortunately I cant get that engine on the kitchen table to rebuild it

Your bug is awesome bud! To be honest was never a fan of the bug until I came across yours! Really diggin the paint. Its got a cool street art feel to it! Also noticed the antenna tube around the throttle linkage. Great idea! I had some motor interference and shrink wrapped it but looks messy. Yours is nice neat and thick.
