Kinda sound like my dad, left home at 16 to set off on his own. Now he runs his own business, has his house paid for and owes no one anything. Hes dropped off all the clients but the local few, and that keeps him in enough money for his projects and and my mum happy. Hes really had to slow down in the past year though, his body just cant take hard work anymore. Fortunately, like you, his years of back breaking work has paid off. 2 more years till retirement. Cant wait for him and mum to have more time to spend with the grandkids.
