Was out last weekend to fix my motor problem and during my test session my throttle servo died at full throttle and I hit the button for the KILLER BEE and my losi shut down. No harm no foul. If if wasn't for my kill switch who knows what would of happen. It's just real important that when you purchase your 5th scale you get a kill switch with it.

I have one on the way for my new DBXL 2.0. Am I going to have to remove the motor to install it? Looks like it would be a female dog if I don't.

btw, the dynamite has a fail on their design, can't speak for the others coz i only have dynamite on my cars. if the plug comes loose the kill switch won't work but the engine is still running, so when you NEED it and became loose, it won't work, and you got yourself a runaway. gotta make sure it's secured. a better design would have shut the engine out, sure it's a pain to walk and plug it back in but you won't find out the hard way.

Pic?

I've had dynamite and killer rc k/s and I've never run in to a problem while running. I had them setup on my boats as well and the nice thing about the killer rc is that it can survive getting wet and still function.

A loose plug boils down to failure to do a pre run inspection of your rig or lack of proper torque on the plug.

most kill switches don't work when unplugged,
even the killer rc super bee, easy solution, plug the plug together then heat shrink over the plug, it cant come apart then (y),
only takes 30 seconds or so to slice the heatshrink with a blade if you need the plug apart at any time,
i heatshrink all my kill switch plugs :)

I was doing the heat shrink method, then my buddy found servo safety clips. I guess the aircraft guys use them. They are really affordable, quick to remove and reinstall in the field if needed. I’m pretty happy with them, they work well.
