Looks like I will be picking up a 5B gas soon. At this point, i'll probably get the regular $299 Zenoah 32cc and maybe pick up a modded top end later.
 
To many of your disappointment... I just ordered the Baja 5B builders kit in electric from DDM. The main reason is that most of the spots I can run it would run me off if I used gas. It will be a blast to build and I am looking forward to it! Now to figure out which esc/motor combo I want... Hobbywing Max5 or Castle XLX2

Got my 5b when the ss just came out, went threw the pain of not having mods available, getting the first mods then the better ones. Now its awsome, but as it was my first 5th scale, it challenged my love of RC. Lucky my love was strong
