Hey guys, so I want to stop bringing everything out with me and pair down what I bring to more manageable levels. I was packing up my toolbox for a 4-8 hour bash event on Sunday and this will most likely be my list.

this is what I am definitely bringing...
- both my trucks and tx
- drill and changeable bit screw driver w/ metric hexes and phillips
- flat head screw driver for tuning
- Adjustable wrench or channel locks
- tow rope
- full gallon of premixed gas
- 2 rags
- pull start
- spark plug
- portable chair
- lunch box w/ sandwich and waters (90*f forecast for Sunday)
- maybe a canopy tent

what do you guys consider essential to bring with you?

I really only fill my rig up, bring my radio and tuning screwsl driver an that's it . Don't usually run for more than an hour if nothing breaks, and when something breaks , usually a few screwdrivers won't fix it ?‍♂️?

If I’m alone I just go home but these events have races so it would suck to have to pack it in after the 1st race of 6

Yeah racing is something else. I don't race, cuz there no tracks ☹
No tracks for us just a bunch of guys that like 5th scale and a public park where we don’t get harassed. This is from an off road drag racing event we had. I wasn’t there because I had no motor:mad:5FE99C2E-0928-4DBF-B716-992C84508A0B.webp
Yesterday packed
Extra fuel
3/8 tool kit (has everything in it)
Wheel spanner
Tow rope
water/coffee
And what i should have brought spare hardware
?
The hardware is my biggest question mark I may just get a screw kit for each car to live in my tool box

Oh I've seen some vids from that event on ig. Seems like a good event ?

Good plan? hate loosing on small somthing that ends it all?

Umm, normally I run at my house, so nothing. In the off chance I run at work. Just fuel. Anything else breaks I just run in the shop and grab tools, if its quick. If not i go home. I usually don't break, and a tank is pretty long run for me.
And usually you never run so your input is pretty irrelevant ?‍♂️?‍♂️?? j/k

My bashing areas are pretty close, so I only take my drill for starting, ratchet for wheel nuts, ratchet for spark plugs, mechanic's gloves, an extra spark plug and my tuning screwdriver. The gloves were always the one thing I needed and forgot. They're so useful when dealing with a hot engine, or weed bound up inside the wheel hex.

If I were going to an event like that, I'd load up on the most commonly lost/broken bits and the tools to replace them. Things like drive pins and wheel nuts.

Murphy's Law dictates that whatever you part you don't bring spares for will be the part that breaks... But if you're lucky, there's the guy with a million of everything in his truck who can set you straight. (y)

I have a few Milwaukee packouts that hold spare parts, it covers most common failures like pins, gaskets, hardware, even a spare carb. I also have 2 mini Matco toolboxes. Ill have one of those with rc specific tools, but would likely have anything I needed in my trucks box. A gallon of VP, something to drink, and im off. It sounds like a good deal of prep, but it all stays in my truck for the most part. DBXL hasn't left the bed in 2 weeks or so.15956851757522128704135564112924.webp
Even a case of water in there ?
