What does a Losi 5ive-b cost to finish?

Sorry for the lack of response. I've been all over trying to research everything. So if I get the Losi 5ive kit for $750 is it feasible to build it with half decent stuff for another $750 or is it gonna be closer to $1k? Still gotta see how good or bad my bonus is this year, covid hit our sales a bit but anxious to see.

Dang the 5ive-T RTR is starting to look pretty good at $1400. Anyone know if the parts are the same as the kit or cheaper? It's got a nice Zenoah 32cc engine, that alone is $300.

Honestly a RTR may be better anyway. I'm handy but almost no experience with working on cars/trucks, got more experience with planes/quads. Fixing a broken assembled car is loads easier than building and adjusting from scratch. Got a good local hobby shop that can help with repairs I can't handle.

Remember even with the rtr you will need radio, kill switch, outerwear , battery that's about another $300.

Outerwears is roughly 25 or less thats nothing also not 100% needed as long as ypu stay out of the dust. Get the dx5c from spektrum at 109 dollars make sure to get the transmitter ONLY version as the reciever is DSMR and you need a compatible transmitter for the reciever. And the 5t is technically not RTR its a b-n-d= bind and drive(battery and transmitter required). You need a reciever battery which is specific to the 5t as the size of the battery box dictates what you can run also ddm is a good place to get a higher rated battery so more run time. You can get a dynamite kill switch to get you going i have one and it does just fine for about 30 bucks.
