Here is my version of an rigid stand. Top rotates and locks, and you can adjust height of tray. Tray comes off to store stand, I need to get the second stand built for the 5ive type chassis.

Very nice! Can you tell us how you made the platform “rotatable”? Also what is the black honeycomb material? Thanks!

The black material is round baler belting, the top was made to rotate by cutting the square pipe, welding in a long 1/2 bolt with head cut off, slide a 1/2 flat washer down bolt until it rests on the tube and tack weld making sure it's straight with bolt shank, take 2, 1/2 copper pipe sweat unions slide them down the bolt ending up about 3 inches apart with one just above washer, I jbwelded them to the bolt. Sand the out side of the unions down until the upper portion of the pipe slides over the copper unions like bushings. I drilled a hole just below the cross bar and welded a 1/4 nut and installed a thumbs thumbscrew for a rotation lock.

I used a lazy Susan cake turntable and a losi 5t stand which I just got on e- bay. Together they work great. I will be mounting this on a keyboard stand when in the field

I have one of them. If they were still available I’d buy a few more.

Just finished up. Came out totally different than I was thinking, but very happy with the end result. I just got done a couple of engines, so I wanted access to all the bolts, set a plan and got started. First problem I found was the Rovan chassis is an 1 3/4" wider than the HPI. Made a block to take up the space, then had to fiddle to get the clamps the right sizes
