You're a brave man Sean :ROFLMAO:
Yeah idk about that. I largely think the high ratios are so the manufacturers can cover their arse. I have gallons and gallons through my old g320 with no issues. Same with my current 2 rigs, and countless saws. Which get a harder workout on any given day then any of our rc engines could dream of. Works for me.

why do we put so much oil i have a mowing business and everything is 50 to 1 so was my dirt bike.is it the revs or poor quality engines.

Definitely, I’ve seen ppl run 💯 to 1, now obviously I would highly recommend against that, but I think some tmr guys especially run 50 to 1. I wouldn’t go under 40 tho.
Yeah it's a catch 22 comparing these to power equipment, they have overly strict epa emissions to deal with, and in part cause the high oil ratios. Rc is exempt from these standards, so the mfg don't have to worry about how much oil is pumped through the engines. There is a point where you can over do it, and with modern oils it's just not nessisary. Take our favorite zen engines. It still specs to run caster oil. Castor oil is great stuff but old tech, and needed higher ratios to perform well. Any modern oil that was designed for a modern engine doesn't need the high ratio to achieve excellent results
