Were all in the same boat to some degree. We just had mandatory business shut downs. Down town is like a ghost city. I hope they get some form of treatment out soon. My sister in law has already been out of work for over a week. With the new shut downs my brothers and dad are off from work. My dad isnt such a big deal as hes partially retired, but my brothers are dead broke. They will be hurting bad when they burn up their vacation days.
There's assistance coming. Anyone making up to 70k then drops off like 500 per every 1000 over. Something like that. They say if u make over 90k ur fukd. No assistance. I think that's bull because everyone should be getting assistance if you pay taxes.
Just be grateful that you live in the 1st world ? coz if you come from a 3rd world y feked BIG TIME? COZ THERE'S NO HELP COMING!!!! I'm lucky to have made the jump to Oz when id? not I'm getting help here...... just more infrastructure better health systems in place??

This one size fits all approach is a joke. It completely screws people like me. I make fantastic money to people in most states. After taking into account that I live in CT, one of the most expensive states if not the most expensive state to live in, I really don't. Luckily for me I have a job still and wasn't a complete moron with my money, cuz looks like I just miss the you get jack poop mark. Not that 2500 would even help much in this state. It wouldnt even pay 25% of my property taxes. Not everyone making 100k a year is rolling in cash. My state has crushing taxes that knock me right down to lower middle class. Want to help me, suspend all taxes. Watch the people flourish.

Yeah I agree, the money we will get wont go far, guess it's better then nothing. I actually think they should drop insurance premiums by half. About 30% of my monthly income goes to pay insurance. Part that kills me is it's no better then what I had 15 years ago, may even be a bit worse. That needs paid weather I'm working or not, not so.much for me but the kids well if you have kids you know how things go with them. I'd love to see taxes dropped as well but doubt that will ever happen, and I don't live in an extremely high tax area. I feel really bad for those of you that live in more expensive areas.

Y boy called it! IL Governerner just announced a stay at home order starting tomorrow.
So I've been thinking a bit about when this is finally all over ? and the major threat is gone .......now here is the worrie. Just like after 9/11? which of our liberties are going to be taken from us?
How will travel or even socializing going to be will there always be this underlying....oh who has it? Or will be living online be even bigger than it is

I don't think it will be such a big deal once everyone has had it and is immune. It will be a big like a cold, you get it, stay at home and chill for a bit, and your back in buisness in a few days. The thing that makes me wonder is they keep saying it's not as bad as SARS but we didn't have all this B S with SARS
With SARS the mortality rate was higher but infection where smaller? but now way more infection and buy the number lower deaths?? +plus today unlike 20 years back social media is working up a storm?

Well my state is officially shut down monday. No more job, no more income. Think its time to drive up to the farm and hunker down. I hope all of you have the essentials to survive. I know I don't want to be around large populations if things get desperate. Seen that firsthand in Iraq and it got ugly real quik. Sure hope it doesn't turn into anything to serious as far as that goes. I don't have alot of faith in people though.
