Blue,
A quick way to adjust your high speed needle- well a ballpark base anyway.

Make sure all your drive wheels are off the ground.
Get your screwdriver on the HS needle and rev the engine up to full throttle.
Turn hs till you hear engine fall off - Back it off 1/8.
This will give you an idea of
where to begin.
Remember your engine is unloaded at that setting.
Then run it and get to full throttle and adjust from there.
Use only small adjustments.
Don't run full throttle for to long!!...

I hope this will work for you.?

That's why you keep them plastic mate..... cheap to replace and er sacrificial
Absolutely lol

Looks like FedEx is gonna be a frequent visitor here starting this week with my servos ??‍♂️?

Dammittttt man
I can't get my lower shock out

Nothing is bent. Any tips?
Eff it. I'll cut the shock out of the plastic tomorrow.

New arms on the way lol

As if I don't draw enough attention maybe if you see an trail of smoke the cuties will be interested too lmao
Well you'll be bug +skeeter free anyway.??

OMG, reading this thread just made me way more paranoid about my current carb settings. Same as the original poster, I too didn't find the OBR tuning video helpful at all. It basically shows you what pig rich or super lean sounds like, not much help in terms of actual tuning IMO. Smoke, no smoke.

Everyone tunes different mate. Kinda hard to teach it via internet. A perfect tune for you will be different then for me, and admittedly takes years to be able to hear it. As long as you've had yours, I'd say its prolly fine.

I'm used to tuning by using wideband AFR meters on blown FI motors, lol. I don't trust myself. I had 2 buddys of mine try to tune my DBXL and one tuned very rich, it had gurgling sounds at WOT and the other tuned too lean and there was basically no smoke at WOT and it sounded like it wanted to cut out. As you said, different people tune differently. However, I tend to like to tune a bit richer on the safe side. I don't care much for maximum power output. I usually just use the factory settings and back off if it gurgles too much. I find even on idle settings, some people like a very low idle like it's going to stall and others like it sounding like a nitro.

BTW, so with a pipe, it should be richer on H needle than the factory carb settings?

I ended up about 1/8 of a turn richer on my HSN
