Warm it up and go get it. Rings need dynamic pressure to break in. All this heat cycle is ? for the birds. It will either run or not. Dynoed too many engines over the past 13 years to talk about. Babied a few and they took longer for the rings to seat. Get it to temp and get a load on it. Not saying beat the crap out of it but make it move, vary the rpm. Get a few wot passes. don't run the tank dry. Come back let it run a bit to cool down. Kill it. After may be 2 or 3 tanks go do what ever you want to it.

My MTXL I drove like I stole it straight from the box. That CY engine is still going strong years later. Countless gallons through it.

My DBXL 23cc cy engine I babied at first, but drove it straight away. I don't use that engine anymore, but still have it, and it still works just fine after countless gallons.

My DBXL Zen29cc I tried the heat cycle method. Ran 3 tanks, then babied it for another. That engine works great after about 4 gallons.

In summary, ive tried it all, and always gotten the same results. I do use quality fuel, dominator oil, and a few drops of 3in1 down the plug hole after every run.

Pre mix fuel

pour it in

tweak the carb to get it to purrr properly

proceed to have fun ??

For the first 2-3 tanks just do random pit stops to make sure everything is working properly.

I’ve got lawn equipment that I’ve ran much harder and for waaaaay longer periods of time non stop and never have I done any type of break in procedures on them. They all crank on 2-3 pulls

I run pre mix 32/1

This is my thing... These guys that go out and buy new 2 strokes in tools never break it in. They pull that female dog til it starts and then WOT 5 seconds later lol. I've had a few superbikes and race motor dirt bikes and they all have their prescribed break in methods pretty much the only thing that's consistent among all of them is "vary the RPMs" and a lot of them say to keep the RPMs around half for the first X miles.

I run my first tank with tropical redbull

Not regular. Not blueberry

Tropical

Wide open throttle into traffic for first 2 passes then put what's left into tote for garage sale next year ??‍♂️
