PPE For Fifth-scale Vehicles

Only time I go for any type of ppe is when I'm running a chain saw. Had a close call with my leg once. 4 inch gash anoit half inch deep. Luckily it was a little 30cc saw so it didnt have much balls. I pretty much always wear my chaps now. Even when it's hot as heck. I wear them. Gloves, and ears and eye protection is mandatory for me as well.

I just zip tie the trigger and throw it at the tree and let them fight. If the tree doesn't go down, I try the next one.
 
Just use common sense and don't take risks. Just like I never understand the thrill of the heli guys doing aerobatics so close to themselves. I seen it happen at too many meets and even my on my own from not screwing around. I lost a tail servo on a 450 come hauling a$$ in to land and lost it. flat spun it right past me into the dirt. 700 sized helis I tell guys are like having 52 inches of samuri swords spinning at 2100 plus rpm just waiting for something. And body parts will not survive carbon fiber swords.

This is probably something I should do. Never had a accident, or even a close call. The price of failure is steep though. Might go buy a pair today.
