All poored concrete in CT. I did that work during highschool. I assumed the bees were just in a exterior framed wall. If so, you will see the temp difference if its a big hive.
 
Pored concrete has been the norm around here for years. Block foundations are a bit outdated tbh. I was surprised that my house had block, but its filled at least. Just started seeing a lot of pre cast, and modular foundations starting to be used in my area as well. Funny how some things change over time.

They are hungry ,get you a cardboard box an pour some sugar in it ,see if they will go to the box ,if they go there ,close
the box an set it outside!
If you are inside with them ,don't be afraid ,they can sense that ,also ,don't wear anything like cologne or deodorant or
anything that has a scent!
 
Honey bees are pretty awesome actually. I would find there hive and relocate it somewhere safe and accessible to you so you’ll always have fresh honey at hand ??

and if you had a professional already come out and they didn’t find anything, it must be a really small hive for the time being. So relocating it should be easy ???

I use to work for some bee keepers here in California ,there was one outfit that I worked for ,they was the biggest in the 80's ,
I remember the owner sending us to Redding California ,he was buying some nooks off of a guy who raises queens ,stayed
at a motel for 2 weeks ,we had to put nooks together an load them on the trucks to send them back home!
The nooks consisted of a new queen ,a ball of worker bee's an some brood in new hive box!

I seen the payment check ,it was $ 65.000 dollars ,that is a lot for 1984!....:giggle:
