I know this has been talked about before, but there is a lot of new stuff out there as of recent. I am on my 4th or 5th run with my DBXLE 2.0 (which is stock besides the servo), and my tires are ripping. I am even using the stock spur/pinon setup. I don't want to waste money on the same tire if they are just going to rip too. What tires have you successfully put on the DBXLE 2.0??? I saw a video of a guy putting badlands xmaxx tires on there after drilling out the center, but I don't want to do that. Anyone out there with an 8s Kraton or Outcast? Do you think those tires would fit?

And a bunch of other stuff while I was on there🤦‍♂️...
I had a heck of a time with it today. One of the axle pins cam loose and shredded my spindle, then the pinion came loose. I got it back up and running and hit a rock hidden in a patch of tall grass, flippped over hard and shattered the wing. I love this truck though! The handling and raw power...the way it flies through the air...

Ive run the proline mashers for 7 sessions now. They hold up well and are not as heavy

I've had the belted Giant Grips upto 67mph so far, no explosions yet!
Hi.

I'm looking to buy the exact tire for my DBXL-E 2.0. To date, do you still like them? Did you weigh them? Are they heavier or lighter than the stock tires?

Thx

They are heavier than stock. They also have more rotating mass, so you will notice in-air corrections are much more effective. It takes some getting used too because the grip is so much better. I really like the Giant Grips. I have them on my Vesla as well.

Edit: I just saw your reply on the other post! Thx

Thank you! Any feedback helps, and this is good. When you say heavier. I assume you have belted? I would guess non-belted would not be a good pic for the DBXL-E 2.0?

I had the non belted giant Grips. They are definitely heavier and much more sturdy that the stock ones. I got them pre-mounted on wheels. I may be wrong, but i don't thing the stock DBXLE-2.0 wheels are compatible with standard 1/5 scale tires.

Thanks for the reply. I see the Giant Grips on the DBXL-E 2.0 on YT and some pics here. I do have the DDM extenders. If that is the issue with the hub/knuckle clearing, I will be good.

You had the non-belted. Weight is a concern I was thinking belted for non-gas rig. Good to know you did not see any ballooning as you posted earlier for the non. That is my issue now.

I'm still pretty happy with them, they are reasonably grippy without destroying the ground underneath. Rolling radius is pretty similar to stock. I've not weighed them, but I was the guy who replied on your arrma thread about fitting the metal beadlocks, so they are heavier still now!

It's a bit sloppy where I'm at right now, so sometimes I do hanker after some spikes, but for an all round choice its up there.
