Gutted I missed this thread.. I run alkylate petrol instead of pump fuel. It would have been great to see if modern petrol with all the additives have more power than the pure petrol that is more what 2 strokes motorcycles ran back in the 80s when we used 2 star. The alkylate stuff has nothing added and is far cleaner burning

Some of the additives arnt bad, increase octane and whatnot. Really if tuned properly they should run close to the same.

My relationship with obr has been bumpy at times 🤔 and at the moment it is not😆 id like to keep it like this👍🏻. There is no love lost as far as Simon goes with them. There will be such a backlash that as far as I'm concerned ....it will do no good🤔

Maybe the dyno they use gets 8.7 hp out of a stock g320

I agree with you can’t base it on one engine, but on the other hand based on your own admission of 1hp/10 cc their claims are impossible.

Their advertised numbers are deceitful and false advertising! Claiming almost a 100% increase over what they build is more than just taking artistic license. I definitely wouldn’t have spent the kind of money I did in hindsight. I would have just bought an ESP race ported head and saved a crap load of cash!

I’m personally pissed and feel like an idiot! I didn’t expect 9.4 hp but I did expect more than 4.8.
 
id still buy one in an instant. but i still think his dyno is reading bs. i know it don't make 9hp but theres no way its making .3 more then a stock zen , impossible in my eyes. but that is just me

This seems a little dramatic. Hp is an abstract figure they are the best small bore engines on the market doesn’t matter if they claim 5hp or 100. They have the most torque and are the fastest and that’s all that matters
 
Its the point not the performance, that’s just me! I try and deal with people honestly, so honest that I often hurt some peoples feelings.
Yeah, I know it’s abstract +- 15% possibly on different dynos. I can understand that. Almost 100% difference, come on! That’s bull 💩!

I've read dozens of times about obr figures on hp on loads of forums.. Also read about numerous engine failures too...
Hence I bought a g4z engine. I tried and tried to find a bad review of their engines and didn't find one !!!
Not always wise to follow the masses...

Safer than running an obr... Yes m8.
At idle the g4z doesn't even have the plastic side guards that fit to the chassis vibrating and it was cheaper than an obr...
Tho I keep looking at the rcmax 46gt and then look at my bank balance and frown lol.
