Just installed and tuned the carb above on my losi 5ive 2.0. I don’t know what the exact factory settings are for this carb so I referred back to user manual for factory settings of 1 7/8 turns out on the high and 1 3/8 on the low. Then tuned on from there what I thought was best by sound and throttle reaction and top end scream. Attached video please advise if it sounds right I appreciate can’t always tell on video clip. Cheers ?

Hey sean whats the point of increasing fuel delivery when we are limited to the amount of air we can bring into the cylinder naturally aspirated engine? And usually we tune toward leaning not richen the mix?

I sent him another email. Hes being a cryptic peepee. And if I'm right over charging for boring a venturi out, and setting pop pressure. If one of you guys craps one of these expensive things out and decides to replace it, send it my way. I want to see what makes it tick. It's not witchcraft. Theres only so much that can be done inside of the carb, within the size constraints of said carb.

I'm 99% sure hes boring the venturi out as well, so the cfm of air the carb can handle will increase as well, and with that his "fuel mods" will be needed. My biggest hang up with the high flow fuel fittings, is we feed 100cc engines with the same size fuel line on wj38, 71, 115 carbs and a 32cc needs high flow fittings? Think I missed something during fluid dynamics class.

They sell them at trackday hobbies here in new york.
Roostertail carbs were very popular for racing. The carbs have a solid performance reputation, especially for drag racing. They were the go to carb.
Bashers and such tend to use stock current carbs because their power delivery is more controllable. Roostertail flowed more fuel for sheer power delivery in drag racing.
Whatever the mods used they worked for the application it was designed for.
I see no reason to tear someone down because they don't want to give their tuning secrets away. These carbs have been popular for years and did what they were designed to do and earned their reputation.
Tired of people bashing things they don't know anything about. The guy may act/seem like ?, but his work spoke for itself.?

I'm not saying he doesn't know what hes doing, but acting like I'm a no nothing peepee is not an admirable trait. That's like asking obr how they make their engines more powerful, and saying weve been building engine for 50 years and we know what were doing. It's not like I'm asking for trade secrets here, just a general overview of what he tweaks, sorry that's not too much to ask for. I made it plainly clear i was curious to know what he was tweaking, not how or to what extent. They make good carbs, I cant disagree with that, but I'm not asking for home to divulge anything any other company wouldnt.

@Seandonato73

Wasn't t aimed at you but the whole bandwagon effect that seems to happen when a negative comment/talk trend is started.
We're to much alike as far needing to know how something works.?
Not everyone is going to be a people person?
(As long as their stuff,I don't care).

My apology@ SD73 ?
