Will give you a ring again when Im leaving Ipswich. It will be a quiet day on site on Monday as they have the mayor coming round so hoping to be away for 1 and over to you for 2.

nice one dwarfy fingers crossed i can sort the bugs starting issue out going to try it in a bit and change the map to a lower one and see if it calms the thing down

im taking mine dwarfy so i will be able to get some vids of yours once the bugs broken, will try out the mini on board key chain cam as well but on mine its only going to record grass sky grass sky grass barrel roll and parked upside down

right dwarfy ive tuned it up now it starts a lot bettter was running far to rich plug was black so ive given that a clean and now its been detuned on the ecu to map 5 so hopefully it behaves itself tommorrow and stays on 4 wheels

If you need any spare plugs let me know cos I have a few NGK CMR7H in my box. I assume they are still ok for the oddie?

yeah i use them on both the oddie engines mate, ive got a couple it was a new plug only had a couple of runs with it will see tommorrow what it runs like im just charging it up now,,,will be nice just having brakes theres a lot to hit over that park,,i think we will park down the bottom end out the way and abuse the gravel road where we parked last time some good little jumps there but 50 odd posts to avoid ask wagon they don't budge

Sounds good. I am home now so will have to call at the van in the morning & stick mine on charge before heading off to Ipswich. I got bit to death in my shorts last week.....got massive bites up my legs & was proper itching for a couple of days after!! Long pants this week me thinks!!

ive got a 12v charger if we need it mate,,i got bitten to feck as well mate i think we got attacked by the whole afgan air force

I happened to read something at the weekend and it mention the blandford fly is common in the east anglia area and bites like feck during May & June cos the female needs a blood meal before she can lay her eggs!! Possibly been done by them nasty little feckers!!

Took the bug out for its first proper run this afternoon & met up with Renbar & Wagon - top blokes & good to finally meet you. The time taken to make sure the build was perfect paid off as I did a tank & a bit of juice & nothing fell off & this was a bare bone build so I am quietly pleased with myself

The 4wd kit has totally transformed the marder (or bug as it is now). It doesn't just roll over & give at the 1st sight of a corner, it sticks 2 fingers up and feckin blasts round them :cool2: Slightly more power would be nice but I will get used to the new set up first then maybe take Stevo up on his offer of a race tuned engine. That said it performed very well and wasnt slow by any means. All in all money well spent & cant wait to get out with it again :cup-1:

Dwarfy, i like your 4x4 build it looks good and by the way your giving your report of the performance it seems like its running good, nice one. Ill send you a vid of mine.

top bash mate and a great 4wd bug really suprised with the way it handled spot on

my car however was a dog female dog mofo and fecked with me all day from starting it,to tryin to keep the front wheels down i had crash after crash tryin to tame this thing ive created but i failed big time today and got slaughtered by dwarfy, with the hard ground and no front anti rollbar no rear brake after its pipe let go 5 mins in didnt help much, theres a fine line with how much power a 2wd can handle and ive crossed it and made my car a total handfull time to try a lower map and try to detune a tad

Renbar, It might be too late but ive just seen your comment, you have to remember that ians tuned the carb, hes always telling me that if i have a starting problem to richen the bottom end by a fraction of a turn, this helps alot and its never failed me yet always starts. by the way lol i thought you like wheelies? the only way to stop the wheelie is to put a long wheel base chassis on, and watch the power in your trigger finger, here a vid of my 4x4 it has all been set up by ian oddie, chassis has been milled out 1 and a half mm so the belt is free to run, all diffs have also been done, 25 front, 45 back. mic you should know this:lol: engine TS oddified kicking 7.2 bhp its alot of fun and its quick, you will see me testing some new shocks from innovative big bores and it past the test and they went out for sale.

Enjoy

cheers ted its all sorted now when i couldnt start it i put settings to factory this was far to rich and flooding so put them back to how ian had them and its all good now,,ive been looking into the lwb conversion but it involves changing to many things,,as for wheelies yeah i allways wanted the thing to pop a good wheelie but it trys to flip its self on to its roof if the wing wasnt fitted it would easy be on its roof ive fitted a fg wheelie bar in the hope it tames things but we will see,,its got a poop load of grunt though thats for sure

heres the maiden run mate was trying very hard not to floor it to much lol

i think the combo of oddie engine ecu clutch and tps red race and vrc pipe are working very well together and im well happy i went with the 29cc oddie engine over the bzm which i nearly went for it was only price that put me off the bzm i got so much more for the money from ian
