It's a hybrid stainless and composite diaphragm that resists hardening from age and alcohol in fuels. That coupled with the teflon gaskets make it reusable. I'll never go back to a std in any walbro that I can sneak one into. Even started buying them in 5 packs.

I got some amzoil dominator and 89 rec fuel. So not ethanol here either.

It will still last longer then a std one. typical life of a std diaphragm is about 2 to 3 years till they start to harden, even with non ethonal fuel it's just a matter of time till it needs a kit, I'm lazy and if I only have to swap out pump side parts once ever now and then you bet your sweat arse I'm putting the spiral diaphram in the metering side.

Just got mine down off the shelf the other day. Getting itchy to run it.

Octane is octane alchohol fuels have a higher rating the straight gas, plus burn cooler. You just need more of it to make the same power, down side is its hydroscopic. I have too many 2 strokes to play the expensive fuel game. Run a good fuel stabilizer and you'll be fine.

You can get by with 89, high test is preferable.

Edit manual states min 95 octane, but it also specs 25to1 ?

I still laugh at this... higher octane gas suppresses knock and pre ignition and lower octane is quicker to light off and can auto ignite....I used to be able to buy 100 octane at the local Suncoast but thats gone
