Oh I'm just getting started grandpa ???
Fek at least I know how to look specs up, for feks sake.
What's important about good fuel like Vp its ethanol free. Pump gas doesn't even last 6 months, so that why its important to run quality fuel and I do use motul 800.
And how long does your rc sit in storage aperyear, and why arnt you using a fuel stabilizer? You guys act like a bit of ethonal in your engine and it's a dead dog in no time. Run a stabilizer don't care what brand, drain your fuel system and you'll be just fine. Hell I'd say it's more important to fog your dam engine before storage then worry about the fuel for the 3 or 4 months that its gonna sit. I got more 2 strokes sitting on one shelf then most people go through in their lives. They all got fuel in them and they will all fire up and run when I need them to. Bet my 394 has gas in it from last year, I'll also guarantee it will fire up and run just fine on it. Funny thing is now that Zed made me go and look it up rc max even reccomend a fuel stabilizer. They also don't say you cant run fuel with ethonal in it.

When im done with my 5 I drain all the gas out of it and bring it inside mainly for safety reasons. Don't need gas sitting inside the house
? don't tell anyone my 5ive tank is still half full, and in the basement with the rest of my gas, paint, carb cleaner, and wood furnace all down there with it. Hate not having a shop.
Hey man, I thought boost meant octane booster and thought it was pretty self explanatory,I don't account for people trying to scame people ??? j/k
To your credit they should just say fuel stabilizer, but they are also a uk based builder. Couldnt find anything in alx site. May have to email them and see what they prefer.

Octane is octane alchohol fuels have a higher rating the straight gas, plus burn cooler. You just need more of it to make the same power, down side is its hydroscopic. I have too many 2 strokes to play the expensive fuel game. Run a good fuel stabilizer and you'll be fine.

You can get by with 89, high test is preferable.
89 ethanol free with 25:1 dominator amzoil. There is 110 ethanol free avaliable in the area!!!!! She would love to drink that lol

I had the same issue with the carburetor flooding, I thought it was just a bad one std walbro 997 from eBay, I have only used it maybe 5 times also. So I just purchased a new one. I took the old one part and it seems all ok apart from the leak at the bottom. All my setting are set from the factory points and I tune from there. See what happens with the new one in place. They are a little bugger these carbs..

Likely it's a metering height issue or the pop pressure is too low. Weve seen cases of the metering lever being set wrong at the factory so it wouldnt surprise me in the least. You really need the proper tools to work on these thing then they arw a charm to deal with.

Ok fair enough cheers, but it’s a good idea to try and change the low, height gear tuning screw. It been working fine when I installed the new one but then I left it for 3 months winter in Paris, started it up the other day and it was not getting to full speed, it would get to full speed but after a few minutes it seem to be struggling for fuel, I kept checking the prime bubble but they was not much fuel in, after I would pump it to get more fuel in and it would be off again for full speed for a few minutes. I thought maybe they might be a blockage under the prime bubble part it’s black, sorry but I forgot the good term. But it was dropping fuel every 4 seconds from the carburetor.
Ok over to you again.

Best

Check your cap on your fuel tank, sounds like its causing a vacuum and not allowing fuel to be drawn into the carb. The one on my Baja does it sometimes, which reminds me I need to sort that in the morning when I'm in the garage.

I had a small leak of the 2 pipes going into the tank, so maybe I need to replace the small black part. Maybe that could be it.
Honestly these small little niggles drive me crazy..
