It's arrived [emoji3][emoji16][emoji3]

Top service from www.rapid-racing.co.uk. they are moving into the off road 1/5 market this year. Highly recommended shop if you need a quality service and a good deal [emoji108]

Quick unboxing before I hid it in the workshop from the misses. Took a few pics of the car and the bits I got with it.

Can't wait to get stuck into it. Hopefully next week [emoji16]

Cheers gents.

Didn't realise it was all torx bolts pretty much. Gonna order a small torx set for it.

Trying to think of a way of getting it past the misses soon as poss take it all apart and rebuild before running it up.

Just for you Doug think these were the ones.

Nothing too special though so might be anticlimactic [emoji23]

Tbh I will have a look through the workshop I think I have a set somewhere.

Beautiful car! ??

I assume the car came with the rear wing? Just not fitted yes

I posted a thread yesterday about the track at Crystal Palace... be interesting to see if they get it up and running again. A meet up of on road Gassers would be pretty cool.

Yea just not fitted it. It's hidden away now [emoji23]

I'm following the re-opening of crystal palace on Facebook. There down there at the weekend. Petrols allowed sat/Sunday but not in week. Need to get keys for the padlocks. Not sure how much it's gonna cost tho.

You local to it? I'm in caterham

Not as local as you! lol. Must be 20-30 mins from you??

Im based in Bournemouth, but not adverse to driving long distances, even if it is to run an RC Car.
Track looks pretty tight for a 1/5 compared to somewhere like Brooklands, but not too bad to get to for me.

On road tracks seem to be a bit thin on the ground for 1/5

That's a shame was hoping you was more local to have a few car park days. Bournemouth is bit far from me but Crystal palace is about half hour away.

It's mainly for 1/8 and 1/10 but big enough for 1/5s. They have some good pics on the London RC club Facebook page. They've been sprucing it up for a while now.

Im probably too far for a weekly run, but i don`t mind coming up once or twice a month if they can get the track up and running.

There are so many places to run Off Road vehicles, but the lack of suitable/dedicated running locations for On road cars (UK) is one of the reasons why i think they`re not as popular

I spoke to Lawrence who is part of the refurbishment team on FB yesterday. 40 quid a year membership for palace. Cheap I thought.

Not sure I have the skills to be on track at moment tbh especially in "drift" mode [emoji23]

Need a few car park days to get eye in.

That was great thing about having Baja's/5fives in past so many places to use them locally to me

£40 a year is cheap. Given how much memberships can be, at £40 it offsets against the fuel costs to get up there.

I bought some small Football cones to use as track markers when im running my cars. You`d be amazed at how much it improves your accuracy. You look like a bit of a plonker using them, but it helps keep your eye in and stops you just doing flybys which can get pretty boring after a while.

I`ll be taking my MCD Rally up there as well if i go. That drifts for hours, especially if its a little damp or greasy :LOL:

Im tempted to get another Off roader (HPI Baja/FG Leopard).... but i have my Traxxas UDR which i can run almost anywhere as its so quiet... its the noise that puts me off a bit.
