Is just the small 4mm flat head size compared to the socket heat 5mm that is nice and strong.

Ok so I bought this from detroit and John said it will fit the filter but it is waaayyy to small. Any ideas which outewear is the correct one for the rcmax filter?

Gotta say the exhaust fitment is kinda of poopy. The end of the exhaust where it exits is rubbing against the vertical chassis arm and the tip is contacting the inner body cage.

Also, the bolts that secure the exhaust to the head are too short and the springs are too soft. I did however change them out to better springs and longer bolts.

I guess I have to grind down the vertical chassis arm in order to clear the exhaust.

Have a pic? Didn't have that issue with my pipe. And what filter are you using? I know my pre-filter are very tight over the filter

65cc. The quick release will not go on the other side because the tip is pressing against the cage. I also have to cut down the case in order for the tip to clear.

Really no adjustments at all.

Also, any recommendations on a throttle linkage? The one that is supplied is just flimsy.

Fantastic Haric..thanks for the pics.

I am just going to grind the arm down for more room and I can also move it more towards arm and have enough room between head. Last thing I want to damage is the head.

So I went ahead and grind the arm down. I also installed a stiffer vibration isolator because the one that comes with it is just too soft.

I also installed a bolt through the bracket with a nylon nut so when the pull start handle moves up and down when running the car it doesn't contact the kill switch and turn off the car.

My luck sucks... Foam on the filter came off while I was applying foam oil. Probably a defect but good that It happened now and not when I was running the car. Bought a better one from DDM.

Decided to go the old fashion way as I don't really trust that quick release. Bought the rod from McMaster and is much better quality than the one that comes with it.

Tomorrow I'll be going to get 1 gallon of 110 vpracing leaded gas and hopefully I can start this thing.

Had to fill out a form in order to buy leaded. She said we need the event you are using this race gas. I told no even just personal so she said we can't sell it unless you give us an event. So I told her RCMAX event shootout.. 😂

110 leaded $8.32 gallon

101 vp is actually more expensive @ $9.03

Someone didn't tie the knot too good and never hit it with a lighter. Or did the pawls grab the recoil and snag the reel? You will see more unfortunately when you open that recoil up, I'm feeling your pain!...just went through this 2 vids ago.
The delrin pawls may need 1mm machined off if your pullstart reel looks like this.
