A guy here has a clone, he has dumped enough $$ into it buying Gen MCD parts he could have got a MCD. Now he is thinking of doing just that. I'd like to see it run but there always something wrong with it!
 
The major flaw i find in kooltoyz's post is that yes - they bring people into 5th scale BUT not all are truggy racers, some are total noobs to RC and are easily put off by the amount of repair work involved when the el cheapo they bought starts breaking - and from the ones I've seen used that starts on their first run. There is a reason why the HPI baja and MCD are priced as they are...

And yes FS plastics ARE brittle and the chassis leaves a LOT to be desired.

My question to kooltoyz is have YOU ever held an MCD to know what you are comparing these "non brittle, strong chassised" FS cars to?

It seems my defending the clones isnt agreeing with you guys! Suprise suprise!!!
I think when you are used to top quality products like HPI MCD its hard not to pick and rip apart a new kid on the block.
Bigboys it seems you cant take a joke i came on here for the banter and to hear others opions not sure why you though you werent entiltled to your opinion and telling me to f**k off is not really listening to mine or having fun in my book.
I can take as much as i can give and im totally interested in problems everyones having with the clones that is why the forums here and why im taking the time to post but didnt think such comments were necessary or contributed to this post. Usefull info like i think this sucks or this could be doing with deing upgraded is what people want to read thats why i posted a huge article on my experiance with the clones on rcuniverse which was viewed by lots of people and welcomed with open arms as it was first hand & honest. I think posting stuff like it bends like bananas offers nothing to the community and is a totally pointless thing to say.
I never came on here to get into a slaggin match im here to give my opinion and listen to others.
Its pretty obvious you guys are set to hate the clone but people are here to read about others experiences before making there own decision, Not to hear you female dog at me cause im supporting them.

I think you have missed the point. I stated I drive a clone....FHMT. I do NOT hate them. I would own a clone baja if the quality was good...it is NOT good!

You have a financial attachment to them (you sell them) and good luck to you, but to defend them, when there are areas on them that are inferior is pointless IMO.

I have had run-ins previously on here with NO Moa...but it is all fun...I am sure he would agree. Again, if you are not happy here with the way people conduct themselves, or with people having a differing views than yours, don't log in.
 
I went a bakery I had not been to before today, they had chocolate donuts that looked similar to the ones my usual bakery has. I got a strange look when I asked for a clone donut:clown:
It tasted crap I'll be going back to my fav bakery next time.

If i wasnt happy here mate i wouldnt be here, i don't need you to say that in every post what part of im here to listen to peoples opinion don't you understand. It isnt rocket science and is the fundamental purpose off a forum.

Thanks....I am glad you agree with me, Monaroman and Powerslide...I knew we were right guys...fire up the barby again I reckon! It's a pity you are trying to sell these cheap Chinese clones to people, who by your own reasoning are new to the hobby, and thus would not know they are cheap Chinese clones...and are thus being shafted!

The KM bajas are great!!! The radio system is junk but the buggies are great. I have run 3 tanks of gas through mine... no problems for what I paid its worth it 1/2 of a HPI RTR baja

There is very little difference betweeen the 2 and almost all parts are innerchangable..

I don't sell them personally but i do know someone who does.
If you don't mind waiting a month for shipping you can get them for $430 or $555 1 week ship.
I've seen them sell on ebay for less than $500 shipped

KM said they are making the SS version soon. $US450 + postage.

Glad to provide the comic relief to no moa (again) - strange as your sense of humour is I seem to always be able to tickle it.

Fire up that barbie mike, I'll bring the meat and a laptop, bigtoys can spring for the beers this time. We can all get pissed and post on LSF about clones...

It may seem like the aussies are ganging up here, but fact is we are a completely different timezome to you guys so our posts tend to all fall together while you fellows are snoozing or working.

And to stay the FS is better quality than the KM is a far, far stretch. Have you actually held them both mate? And what about there originals that they were cloned from, got much experience with them? It really gets me when dealers try to exaggerate the quality of cheap chinese crap and convince unsuspecting buyers that they are just as good as the originals they stole the design from... only cheaper. I just hope you are not trying to do this, honesty goes a long way in customer relations.
