Do these engine mount screws like to back out? I'm kinda surprised the engine is only held on by those 4 screws. In the Marder they love to come loose.

That's what I do on the fg now, red locktite. Then just dremel the heads off when I need to pull but w/ $17 inserts I don't think I'll do that with this rig. What screw on top are you talking about? I have a 1.0

WoW! This truck is a dream to work on! Coming from the compact baja and the marder there is nothing better than this rig! I have definitely waited too long to buy one lol.
I'm the same, working on my truck after months working on the Baja it feels too easy doesn't it??
Take the engine out, yeah not a problem, 4 bolts, couple pipe and a nut for exhaust. Centre diff? Easy peasy. Compared to the Baja the trucks are enjoyable to spanner on.

Can't remember what engine you have in yours, but mine is a bit more of a handful then point and shoot. The little esp 34 gets with it quick.

I have a g320 in it w/ 19T pinion. Bone stock w/ a can exhaust right now  I'm sure it's still point and shoot compared to a baja w/ a stock 32cc lol. What diff fluid you run in yours?

I wouldn't call it point and shoot, I would call it predictable handling, you can have a lot of fun with it and feel like you can put it anywhere you want in an open field.
Go try it on a track, you'll feel like a newbie who has never driven an RC before pmsl.

Compared to a Baja they can feel a little sedate, but now you can steer and stop lol

It’s a lot less point and shoot when your racing 5 other guys that have the same rig

We shall see Sunday!.... I've got some nasty slop in the steering that I don't really get how to fix. Left hub/tire points inward after a right turn or when I blip the gas but the servo returns to center just fine. Right side don't do it. Lot's of play in that hub and the steering.

Replacement time mate......
