Help me choose a Tx

Just a got a new 5ive T2.0 , pretty excited.
I’m stuck between DX5 pro and Rugged. Is there much difference? Based on specs, the rugged doesn’t have ABS which I won’t be using anyway. Can you guys think of a scenario that I’d need the Pro version ? TBH not sure what are the advantages of the pro version.

If it was me I'd buy the rugged one, just because I'm clumsy but also because I don't stop if it's raining etc and use the same transmitter for my 5th scales and crawlers.
I've tried ABS but only offroad and to be honest I found it a pain and not helpful, might be of use onroad.

I'd not buy a speky and get a futaba. Less issues and most of them come with an rx in the box.

I'd go futaba also, I've owned a few spektrum setups and was never fond of them. The range always lacked and they felt cheap. Switched to futaba and have never looked back.

Don’t overlook Sanwa. There legit systems as well.

Don't overlook trigger feel when buying a tx. I've got a dsx4 and the trigger doesn't have enough resistance, feel for me. Not sure how ya go about holding them all but it is something to consider.

You can adjust the tension on Futaba and KO Pro radios.

ABS is baloney, never worked for me. Took the car 2-3x longer to stop. Spektrum tx.

I went Futaba...will never go back. Had a 4PM. Is an amazing TX with a ton of functionality. Sold it and went 7PXR due to needing more channels. The 4PM is solid and you can score it for around $229 with the coupon at Tower Hobbies with the receiver as well!

The last time I had the mcd out when I hit the brakes car was sliding so the abs will help me maintain some control

i would say there are better ways to tune your brakes than use ABS. Servo progression and end points will help. What Tx/ Rx setup:are you using?

I like the Endo effect actually cool for some tricks, and the trigger is proportional anyways so not there when I don’t want it if u learn how to control it good.

I don’t like the avc/tsm stuff…. Just pure driver and machine

Off-road?... Last I tried it I was running my Marder on asphalt, just kept blowing past the turns especially if I was racing someone into the turn. I suppose I could have spent more time playing with adjustments. Either way worth it to give a try.
