So I went at this old stock ? shock brace first with rough sanding 220 grit, then green scotch brite, then 2k grit and it lokns good. Not exactly what I was looking for but im happy with it. Top, my piece, bottom, goal


Im Gunna do this to the main chasiss, rear chassis, hinge pin braces, hubs, shocks, motor mounts, gear plate, and roll cage top plate thing.

I'd go a little lighter on the papper 400 or 600 grit??

Harbor Freight sells a pretty cheap tumbler that you can use to get a matching finish on all the parts assuming they will all fit in the tumbler.

So i ended up hitting it with some steel wool, then lightly hitting it with scotch brite, looks alot better now. It doesn't match exactly, obviously, but it looks good. Here's a comparison to my tpd anti squat

Lil darker tho.
