What steering servos work with this 4x4 kit? I asked the question about the steering servo being hit and the was told "no problems". This should be told to people before they buy!!:glare:

do yoou have yours together yet man for the price servo should be included I called them also and they said I did not need a new servo but did say I should upgrade from the 805BB I have not had a problem with my servo so maybe that was a way of saying it would'nt work, o well still waiting almost a week now hope it comes tomorrow

This was answered in another thread.

Short answer hitec 5745 (according to another thread). I've not received nor installed my kit yet. You can do a search for the subject "kam 4x4 kit". The servo question was answered there and is noted above. I'll be able to confirm some of this first hand when my kit arrives. Hopefully I can do some testing and video shoots and give some real world feedback. I'll try and make notes as I assemble and run the kit.

The videos I saw certainly don't make me want to run out and spend $400 on the 4x4 kit. It seemed to rob power. My FG is a bouncy wheelie pulling acceleration giant and it's all stock. It will absolutely whip my Baja's ass in speed, torque, acceleration. I have some concern over that but we will see. I'll keep you all posted.

Still waiting FG Universe said they mailed it out last week and I should have been getting it friday or saturday but have not seen it yet and it's monday mail has ran and no kit tried calling and all I get is an answering service hope they don't play me ready to do some work:(

I would not worry to much about the mail. If it's Priority Mail and it's 4 days past the actual shipping date then I would start to be concerned.

got it today and talk to the guys at fg universe guess i'll get to work also want to know if I can use the steel geas on the diff and do away with the plastic also the spur gear

Ours is together and running like a POS. One issue after another during the build but got it all sorted, ran for 2 times, 15 min total and considerable damage to itself. In short, lots of bugs to work out. The 4x4 was awesome to watch in the snow and ice but until the problems are resolved I hate to think what it would do to itself with traction in the dirt. Many failed plastics and bent metals. Kinda frustrating but that is why we used another MT so we'd workout the bugs and still be able to bash our own. My brother loves the challenge and has incredible technical skills, I'd have lost it by now:(

I went out and bought a couple of longer screws for the frontend I have the monster truck shocks seem to be rubbing against the top arm may need spacers does not seem to have the same turnning radius though still have more work to do today though have to work out something for the reciever box cut the plate like it said and the the box is still in the way:helpsmilie:

I like mine, its awesome, haven't run it yet, but i'm glad i bought it. Probably till i run it.... LOL.......

Don't get me wrong, I am disappointed in the kit but this is the best way to learn and I do love the idea of a 4x4. Kit is still running and most issues can be resolved but the more we all share the more we will improve the results. Be sure to check and threadlock all the factory installed screws and hexes, ours loosened in several spots and did some damage... Yeah I would love to see it work the way it was advertised but in no way is this the seller's problem. Would love to have a Kami engineer come over and explain himself tho:(

Wow, what is going on? Are you guy's disappointed?:( How could these problems have been missed by the seller if they are installing them too?

Exactly.....they showed pictures of the installing of the kit on 1 of their vehicles

but didnt show any video of the vehicle running with the kit installed they installed it on:glare:

Wow guys that sucks... thats why I sold my Alloy MT. I was going to add the 4x4 kit but insted I bought a Titan 4x4 truck for $975 plus shipping. I orded a FS 4x4 buggy cost $819 delivered.. add some MT rims and tires and change the gears I have another 4x4 truck:) 2 vehicles in 1

lol, but ya know, i have 6 largescale. The MCD is my prize with the 4x4, and i hope this FG ST with this Kam kit will look the part, i probably won't run it more than a couple times, and i doubt i will drive it hard.

well I have to take it back apart to locktite it but thats not a prob I just hope it holds up I like the way it looks but of course i'm not going on looks just a few mods and replacing screws thats all just want to make sure I dot all the I's and cross all the T's if you know what I mean:detective:

Can you share details on the problems you encountered and what you did to correct it?

I have email Kamitiro and asked for help, and to see if i can get some more chain, the chain being 5 links more would fix my problam.

I wonder if you can get the chain anywhere else local harware or lawnmower shop or whatever what about the lower arms if one breaks

Good luck on that! I've emailed Kamitiro in the past about their cars. In my experience they've mostly not responded but once in a while I received a response and it's been a half answer or totally unrelated to the question. I think your probably SOL if something breaks. I still bought a kit, figured I would give it a try anyway. I'm not planning to bash a 4x4 so I think it will hold up OK. Hopefully someone will start to stock the parts or at least be able to special order the parts.
