Here's my KM Baja that I picked up used to make a snow and sand basher. It needed a lot of love a week ago. Now, all that it needs right now is a couple of bits to connect up the steering and and to re-bind my radio for the correct failsafe and it's ready to hit the sand. I've got a ski kit that'll go on there in the winter, but I'll leave the tires on for now. I'm also going to paint a new body and undertray for it when I get the money to buy those. I also have a tuned pipe on the way (JetPro V4 track pipe).

I put in a HPI radio tray, Hitec HS-805BB servo for steering, Lunatik dual wheel adapters and 4 Sand Buster tires, and replaced teh front wheels / tires with a stock set I had laying around. Looks like it should be able to throw some sand and snow around! I just hope the 23cc motor can handle the weight of the rear tires.

want to see a vid of this mad beast kickin round in the sand :cool2::cool2::cool2:

hye how are the 5t terminators compare to the KM baja? i was thinking of getting one and slowly just getting the essentials like rpm or alloy or even stock arms better engine and radio and better diff. i understand that the HPI unit has more QC and better parts but by the time i upgrade all of the essential things owuldnt it be around the same anyways? i want to venture in 1/5th but 1000 is alot to drop on one of these when i know i can get another dirtbike for that much. and nice KM baja looks sick with the dually paddles.

i have a km baja and i was running it one day and it just cut off so we took the head off and found out the crank case was broken does anyone know where i can get the crank case E002

All CY parts will fit bud....pretty cheap too.
Zen parts will fit too......with the exception of the piston pin + bearing which is bigger than CY.

These new KM engines are a CY clone............Likewise with Rovan.

That's good news, those 3 bolts suck. I would go with davesmotors.com and use the LSF code for a 5% discount.

ok thanks guys i need the other part of the crank case look on www.kingmotor.cn and look for the part E002 and thats what i need but i need to find somewhere in the united states that i can get it from

Clone29,

Its time to upgrade the motor. I would not put any type of money into the stock KM motor. It's bottom end is proprietary and has been made that way.
Get yourself a good CY or Zen motor and be happy.

I don't think so.
The KM motors are made from KM. That makes them less adapted to all the upgrades that are made for the Zenoah and Cy motors. They (KM) are not as good in quality, and they run a bit rough. I have not heard of any plating issues with them. Some will never be able to get the sweet spot in tuning that you will on the CY or Zen's. Most people will not notice it.
Thats not to say that all KM's are the same either, some come with the CY's and not the KM's. It all depends on which motor you get?
