Clean the screw with brakleen or carb spray 1st then install with loctite and let sit for 24hrs.I did that the first time it backed up on me. Maybe I didn't give the loctite enough time to cure.

?Like what? Gotta be able to clamp down on the shaft. Its not that serious. Gas engines bolt from the front. You could ditch the electric motor??Are there any other pinion gears that don't use a grub screw?
