it doesn't matter with the direction on deans carbon dude,
the carbon he uses is twill all the way through, laid up at 45deg to each other layer by layer, so maximum strength whichever way its stressed,
theres no cheap infill to make up the thickness either, all twill at different angles (y),
everything has a fail point, doug was just unfortunate he found it thats all,

also dean checks the carbon regular to make sure its consistent,
reason i know is cos i test it for him, same size test piece every time and same test method every time (y)

I had to double back and check the date of this post. Thought I wandered into a thread from back in 2012 or something! I think I'll use this snow day to rewatch SOA!!!!

Wrong ? sorry got to edit .. so 45deg turn on each layer of twill which in turn is +45-45 no wonder the parts are weak. With a twill which is already+45-45 you rotate at 180deg . Now if you want strong parts use a biaxle which you can get at -45 or +45 . Hope this helps with n the future guys . And do not buy in carbon plate make it that way you no what has gone into it ?

dude, what i shoulda said is 45 then 90deg, my mistake,
why don't you contact dean @BoneHead-rc and let him know how much of a mistake he's making,
he's been making carbon parts for rc for 4 years now and he's had two reported broken pin braces and hardly any other failures,
the carbon he uses id strong, don't try and bad mouth rc parts makers and suppliers when theres no need to,
like your dig at rcmodelz cos you busted a £4.99 diff cup.
which judging by the wear mark on the remaining face had more than one blip on it,
i know you say you work with carbon, but laying up a mold yerself aint the same as cnc machining parts from pressed and cured carbon plate
dean did the research and only supplies parts made with the best he can find,
ie; two reported breakages in four years,
but, will you please accept that you don't know everything ?
every fecking post you make you either know it all or try and make someone else look dumb,

Look dumb how it's mistakes to learn from but you seem to stand ground with no facts . You want stronger parts make stronger parts I'm not digging at anyone at all just the dumbness that goes with the thread. Would you like me to tell everyone how his parts are made . What are you on about?

This is a hobby that’s fun for most people. There’s no need to jump on here and try and flame people, you’re in the wrong place. You come across like a keyboard warrior with no knowledge of Bonehead RCs products, which are A1 BTW. If they weren’t RCMAX wouldn’t sell them.

Go and have lie down and come back when you’re feeling better.
