? that happens to me every time I go out. Yesterday it had long dog hair mixed in. It was a proper pita to cut off.Mine's running like a demon now too. Had to empty the skid plate around the starter cover a few times, but other than that, no incidents.

10 years? The losi ones I use last a few runs. I constantly rip them. Kinda just stopped replacing them until i dig in for other reasons.Yup, they're magnets for anything that can tangle up in them!
I'm in need of new hostile drive boots. These ones are over 10 years old and degraded to the point of near uselessness.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Cuz you cant afford any ?
Sorry Z you opened yourself up for it?
And your 3 ? short for a full screen ?

If I fek a pin I'll put boots on. Pins look a+ as of now.so I'm Gunna send it and see what happens. Pins will wear out before the cups (flm hardened steel)Yeah, HPI boots are made from toilet paper. Hostiles are Tonka tough! Highly recommended.

the stock boot was brand new before today's run. I've been running these same Hostiles since 2010 and one finally gave up the ghost, but in a far less severe way:

A penny of prevention is better than a pound of the cure. If you don't boot, you'll be replacing your drive cups and pins sooner rather than later. Probably not as big a deal on asphalt, but once you get out in the dirt or sand, it will be.
This is my stock 5t drive cup after 10 years and many, many hours of abuse:

It's a shame that non-Hostile boots are such garbage. I really wish he was able to stay in the game and offer boots for other platforms.
I'll make a suggestion that might be helpful for you guys not using boots. Use a wax based bike chain lubricant, like White Lightning, on your drives. It sheds dirt and still gives a modicum of lubrication to reduce wear. It's not as good as a boot filled with grease, but it's better than nothing. There are some dry silicone lubes out there that might also be of some utility as well, but my experience is limited to wax based solutions.
My baja eats hostile boots? I must make some cvd guards coz getting them on is a massive ball ache ??
