Well I did get it out on the track yesterday but was by myself so no pics but after tooling around for awhile I started to take the jumps and after I realized how straight and level this thing flew I was addicted. taking MX size jumps in 2nd gear is truly awsome until you yard sale:) A broken servo saver ended my day but that can be blamed on the fact it was 40 deg outside and plastic gets brittle, none the less I will get the Dark Soul servo saver and hit it hard again. Also made a stand out of an old hydraulic chair from Goodwill $5:)

cool stand conversion. when i replaced the plastic steering mechanism with a alloy one, and the upper arm linkage to servo, its alloy now, no plastic, still use the spring and just tighten it to where you want servo arm to break over at tension wise. you might convert to metal steering assembly too like i did.

Do you have a picture of that, or a parts list we would need to do it?

I just ordered the billet servo saver arm, i already have extra plastic hpi sweeper arms so i will use those till it becomes an issue as addictive as it was seeing that thing catching 10+ feet of air i am sure it will:-). also the billet servo saver is supposed to improve the steering geometry.

A little update since my last carnage run, I am still on the fence as to just buy the TC cage and then Woodster body later as I can't shell out $400 for both right now. so I decided I needed to fix the body from my Wheelie runs.

Damage

Cut a piece of .025 Alu since I know shoe goo and drywall tape alone won't hold that kind of damage.

Shoe goo under the alu and then a little support around it, I may put some more but it's a start. and it may also keep the heat off the plastic,

On to the shocks, This was my fault rideing wheelies and a couple of cartwheels later I didn't realize that the front arm had broke and drove the shock shaft into the ground.

A real pita to get off cause I couldn't get a wrench on it so I had to dremmel the plastic off but I replaced both shafts and put on RPM skids.

all better

also fixed my son's 4x4 slash

mine cracked a bit too on a couple rollovers, i had leftover abs planks from my stormtrooper costume for the 501st vaders fist , and using my heat gun molded a strip to fit across that area where you have your patch piece, with some glue between it, abs glue, weldon abs glue, and pop rivots i patched mine up. i don't have a pic of it, but if ya wannt one i can get one.

Well since i seem to be out of stormtrooper costumes for the 501st vader fist I think this will hold just great according to my testing today:-)

lol didnt say you had to have a trooper costume bro, you can get those off ebay seperately, like i did. heck for that matter take a plastic trash can and use a section of it, works the same way. i was just pointing out another way to fix it is all.
anyways good luck with the test run, it should be just fine.

glad its workin out. yah i just happened to have a few slats of the abs leftover, i had bought extras, and i just layed it in there, hit it with heatgun, it started to sag down in place, then a lil working by hand, with glove on, a few times of that, and i had a almost perfect reproduction of the body contours inderneath. its held up really well too for me. i didnt have a sheet of alluminum or steel around, used what i thot would work i hand on hand.

anyways, lol happy bashing bro.

Oh oh:)

Definately gonna have to go with a coupler connection once I figure out which direction to go:)

ouchie, is your exhaust a one piece? or like my original on mine, having the coupler connection a couple inches out from head/exhaust pipe? if it was a solid setup, then yah, ya definately need a flexible spot someplace. you gonna have to replace the head now?

yeah definately going to have to replace the head but I may just pull the trigger on a new engine in a few weeks since I was going to anyway. the amount of heat that bolt sees isn't a good spot for JB weld or anything like that so on to the research:) I also bent the bracket on the pipe so it was a combo of hard landing on the ass and not having a coupler style exhaust.

Finally decided what phase 1 will be, I just pulled the trigger on a 4 bolt Zen G290RC as a starting point(Thanks for testing 19Cobra93) for my power and a few other things to go with it. I have always loved RPM's stuff so I am going to start with the front arms and the rear bumper area.

TR one piece brake mount
Black RPM arms in Front (I will get the Rear when I break them)
RPM bumper bracket
RPM skid plate

She is all torn down waiting for parts:)

In the not so Distant future I want to get a TC cage and bend some Aluminum much like I did for my Wraith so I don't have to buy bodies.

I just (last night) installed RPM front uppers and lowers. I'll bet they're more durable than aluminum. I'm going to get a set of rears to go with them, and I too would like to do an RPM rear bumper. So you're going to really like those arms.

And that Zenoah is my favorite mod. I'm anxious to get the one way bearing replaced so I can get it out there and run it again.

yeah I have been using RPM stuff for years on all my rigs and have yet to have them fail except when they are just plain wore down to nothing:)
