dummies mate id love them to be real lol but that shell has two pipes out the rear so i made a couple of dummie alloy pipes the real exhaust is a side pipe so next to impossible to run to them

Wow,stunning car very very nice :) Don't think i'll be going to your level of alloy and hop ups (i'm afraid it looks like you are considerably, considerably richer than me) but deffo got some ideas from you on where the next few hundred quid is going :w00t:

cheers mate but the only cash ive got is in the cars mate im broke this car was nearly as you see it when i brought it most was all alloy allready so saved me loads of money,,i don't think alloys as needed in the on road cars unless your crashing into stuff all the time plastics ok and cheap to fix crash a all alloy car and its ££££

it does look nice but all the alloy adds up to a heavy car @12kg and needing more power to keep up with a stock car but the handling does get better with the extra weight

few little tweaks i made a front splitter from a plastic recycling box lid as its good to recycle and thought id do my bit lol plus i had loads spare and means it no longer fitted the box i thought id make some rain guards for when i use it in the rain these hopefully should stop some of the crap spraying into the car

ive fitted some mesh to the grill where i cut it out for extra air and cooling which also looks much better than just holes and with the left over paint from doing my wheels black ive painted the fg roll cage a nice shade of satin black

all looks awesom love the splitter good to see pics of it to really get a sense of what its like, awesom looks great and the rain guards are a very good idea if it saves water getting to the servos thats awesom.

ah the carbon airbox they don't come up often they do look awesom i eventually want to get one or two or three lol. cars looking fantastic dude nice nice

cheers mate,,,,for me making things out of old crap lying about is all part of the fun,,,,,im well happy with how the splitters turned out was just a spur of the moment thing that paid off the rain guards was in case i ever get off my arse and use the thing in the wet ive got the rain tyres just down to me being lazy and not wanting to drown the thing plus i want to see just what these cars can do in the wet hopefully the guards will stop 90% of water going in to the car and the filters right in line with the front wheel

little change ive removed the tps red race ignition kit to try and tame the bug and refitted it to the on road as the bug has more than enough power and needed to be tamed a little bit

was a shite job and has taken most the day to sort ive been wanting to do this for a couple of months now and been putting it off so i flipped a coin to help me make up my mind heads it stayed tails the bm got it tails it was

im looking foward to see how the little 23cc oddie lump behaves with the red race fitted and the ecu cranked up to the max happy days

few pics of the mounted red race kit the coil was a pain just finding a home for it was a headache so mounted that to the battery holder out of harms way

plus the new quick release fuel filler which is great due to the filter being bang in the way plus rids the car of the crappy older screw out fuel cap

cheers voo,,,,its no evo but for a sportsline its as good as it gets i think,,,,theres just a couple more bits im after a samba 7 titan and more carbon fibre

Very nice Ren,i keep looking at yours and wanting all the trick bits for mine too! lol
Always a pleasure to see your cars :)

then stop buying other cars and just stick to the 2 lol

youve just got to shop around mate ebays great plus the red race was on special offer when i brought that so it don't have to cost a fortune,,,the trick bits are nice but you don't really need them a good engine and pipe are enough with the on roads setup is everything you can have a stock sportsline car setup good and beat a badly setup evo

another little change made was the carb was running a wt 603 with a choke, thats been removed and cleaned ready for the stock zenoah im rebuilding slowly,,ive now fitted a alloy manifold this has been modded to use the stock gaskets and not the teflon ones its got a fg plastic carb spacer to stop to much heat getting to the carb this has a carb gasket both sides then my wt771 chokelss carb which was on this engine with the red race fitted in the bug which worked real good then its got the lush polished venturi for the carbon filter

the alloy inlet manifold has been modded from when i was running the mallosi boost kit but now its closed off with a bolt

you gotta love the inlet design of the chokeless carbs its just so clean flowing compaired to choked carbs you can see how its better just by looking at one next to a choked carb

good run today with the on road,,,first run since the changes ive made the red race kit, chokeless carb ect,,it worked ok had a few problems the carb needs a rebuild so ive swaped it back to a 603 for the next run,,the red race is just great on this car it spools up so fast i was having mega trouble getting the thing to put power down as its just so quick the response is much faster than before lovin it ,,,did get a bit mad with some old wheels and destroyed the rears to the point of death ending in one tyre exploding open,, had a wicked hour left loads of rubber everywhere the cars filthy but its fun which is the idea

the 22/44 gears were much better as well it had more top end and didnt run out of puff to quick just a shame the carb was pissing about as its got much more than it had today also found the rear cable brake one side was binding plus a plastic rose joint thats got more wear than a 12 year old after a day with jimmy saville

some pics changed all the 8mm front rose joints fixxed the binding rear brake canged the carb over and a quick clean and its ready to play again

and a pic of my new winter project a bog standard but fresh 230 zenoah this is mint looks new must only have a couple of tanks on it hmm what to do with it god knows im not selling it its just a spare but im tempted to see what happens to a stock engine when you just use bolt on bits ie the ecu+red race kit and the carbon filter

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

ive taken the plunge and removed the 23cc oddie for its winter rebuild as the compresion was a bit low and there was tons of oil around the lower seals after striping it down i found the seals are shot and the gasket that joins the 2 bottom halfs was very wet,,the bearings are ok and wasnt replaced that long ago theres no play in them at all so its just seals gaskets and a ring needed the bores plating is still ok and the pistons still good with no scores or marks

so the spare project stock 23cc zenoah 2 bolt has been fitted with the red race ignition kit and ecu lead and fitted into the bm for a while till i get the oddie 23cc rebuilt ive got the gaskets just need the 2 oil seals but first it needs a real good clean as its caked in black shite from the leaking seals

looking foward to the next run so i can see how the stock 23cc zen behaves with the red race kit and the ecu cranked up to map 14-15 but im allready missing the cool looking oddie logo from the new fan covers that ian does but at least its only a tempary set back id rather this than ruin a engine by leaving it like it was

ive also removed the alloy inlet manifold as it was making the carb get to hot and the performance had changed since fitting it so back to the stock one

more changes ive refitted the wt 771 carb ive rebuilt it with another throttle shaft so its good to go again ive left the alloy inlet off as i just think the heat affects the carb so its got the stock plastic one fitted

next upgrade is a nice carbon front shock tower from ebay it came with the carbon front body mount and ive used that to keep my hydro lines in order i had to change the brake lines as they were to long but now the routed much nicer and more or less hidden and out of harms way,,the front end is now finished and looks more like a evo and the crappy sportsline shock mounts are gone leaving me with a much cleaner looking front end even the shocks fit better so for the £25 odd quid im more than made up
