so much for it being done the spending continues first up a new handset no ive been after one of these for years and this came up on ebay so i had to have it,,,,so its back to sticks for me with this bad boy in my opinion the best looking stick set ever made and still gives most modern ones a run for there money this thing does everything
its a near perfect ko vantage esprit 2 type r in 40 meg form it came with 4 rx's 2 kr302f 1kr301f and a lrp one also had 8prs of genuine crystals in a ko holder
now i love this handset its just awsome feels great to hold and its not bad to setup cant see me ever using all the features on it lol

next up are a nice set of 2 peice split rims with alloy centers these also popped up on ebay and i just needed them badly they have got alloy rings to alter the offsets but found with running hydros i cant use them but with the stock offset the fit perfect and suit the bmw shell perfectly ive painted the plastic rims black as they were yellow and didnt look as good i spent a bit off time polishing the centers and i think they came out well cant really see me using them much but on the shelf the car looks mint

I saw those wheels advertised - sound complicated, but look fine Andy.
I'd have thought with more offset, the brakes would clear better - less on the inside.
Are the 'wires' staying alloy-coloured, or are they going black or gold?

they have a alloy spacer ring that bolt to the inside of the rim thats the problem with them fitted they wont clear the hydros its a shame but theres also the width of the body to think of bm's 392mm wide with the rings fitted the rims make it 410mm wide

its one of those things i wanted years ago but the price stopped it from happening although im happy with the spektrum i wanted to go back to sticks and after getting outbid on every futaba 3gr and 3vcs i could find cheap on ebay i wasnt loosing out this time lol
fm its no big deal to be honest i only run with 1 or 2 other cars and there both 2.4g so no worries there,,,,but i am thinking of modding the esprit to run 2.4ghz ive found a very handy guide plus for about £60 its converted and ive got money left over for 2 rx's and this handset is converted and bang upto date and i can then out the 4 rx's and the crystals to offset the conversion costs

your probaly right mate sometimes this hobby can be a waste of time and money lol
one of the main reasons ive given up with the speky is ive been having trouble getting on with it somedays im fine then others i cant get on with it
ill see how things go with the esprit on 40meg if the range is no good or i have any problems then its going 2.4ghz,,,before the spektrum i was using a sanwa gemini 2 and that was a great handset

more upgrades coming both ebay bargains first up a genuine fg lightweight carbon rear spoiler adjustable angle ect
also waiting on a evo gear carrier with quick release bracket engine mount and gear carrier all one piece,
as mines based on the older comp line models my engine mount quick release and gear carrier are all seperate,,,now i never thought there was much difference between the 2 setups but after playing with wagons evo 8 theres a massive difference his is just so free moving to the point you could nearly blow it round lol compared to mine which i thought was friction less now theres nothing wrong with mine its just the later evo setup is just perfect were its one piece and has the spacer part in between the bearing on the layshaft,,,hopefully the car will move better due to no friction and need less power to get it moving

hi keith they were on ebay mate i won a few red and blue all secondhand but new but as you cant find any more hence the blue ones at the front and red at the rear,,im sure there was some 8mm blue one on rossmods on ebay but silly money

more updates first up stripes and lots of them nice orange tiger stripes ive fitted the carbon rear spoiler another ebay find,,ive also brought a full set of oddifeid grp disc's and pads not tried them yet but they look sick and wasn't badly priced,and as normal great service from ian

ive stripped cleaned and checked it over looks ok I fitted some zero drag seals and wrapped the fan cover in more sticky back carbon
