Did the same to my GPM shocks, so bent it back and sold them all ... replaced with a much better FG alloy shock.

Hopefully getting in some run time this saturday so will keep you informed on how my setup is runing...

Got some goodies for my car today....O-Rings to rebuild the shocks..some braces & roll
cage...Only about 1/2 my order showed up....so the items will be placed in a box with
the other item's waiting to be installed.....I think I mentioned That I was rebuilding the
front end.....But the car run's so nice now....I should just take advantage of the weather
while I can here..cuz it always rains.....being a long hoilday week end..weather looks good......So I think ..I will hold off for the up grades of rebuilding......and still gather up
parts I need.........You know I am going to be running the car as much as I can........
Cheers my friends.....Enjoy the long week end....get your car ,trucks, buggys, boats, heli's
what every you have and run them....Make sure you post up some video's......Slaw

Super...The USA has always had the Holiday close to Sept 6th......
I got most of my parts in a box now for the next stage of the up grades.....
Yes ..the 2 spd is ready to go..complete rebuild on that...Just like the day you would buy a new unit....Plus the Alloy FG 7474 carrier with the Lay brake.......I have yet to find tha alloy large engine mount....I got mixed response to that and from reading as well...
was suggested to use the 1 that is for on/road....Some thing about the bearing for the lay shaft...like 2mm difference in tilt.....I know Ducky is using a 2 spd has a monster truck.....Need to hear more on this..Thanks.....Cheer's my friends.....Slaw

News to me about the engine mount Slaw, would be good to find out more info on this...

Good to hear your nearly there on your parts list...are you going to order those long shock ends from Hobbytech? don't know if anybody else stocks them...

Cant wait to see your truck with that 2 speed man, its gona kick ass...

Super....Yeah I am checking on the engine mount thing.....waiting for answers back from
e-mails sent out......As to the long eyes for the shocks...DDM Has them in stock
already ordered.........Just a few more small parts waiting for..all from over sea's...
shipping is from 30 to 45 days....slow canoe.........The 2 spd should kick butt with
the smaller wheels & tires.....On asphalt anyway....I will need a long area to open it up
I may have to make some minor adjustments to the clutch spring on the 2 spd...Higher
rpm kick in......Hope to have it kick in about 1/2 throttle them let it rip to build up
speed........Now as to a single speed set up..I would like to find a 28th clutch pinion
and 38 th spur gear....16th on the lay shaft.....that will fly.......Slaw
PS just found out it will be 4 weeks for parts that are back ordered ..I need for the project.....

eyes.........Slawhammer

thats what you already have mate, you want 66291/05 these are for the 4wd and make the shock longer and take more wieght....

for about 15 minutes.....so a little time is better than none..you have seen the alley way
so no need for a video......Cheers my friends.....Slaw

Whoooo, shiny!

You guys are all wet there. What type of winter you expect with such a wet summer?

When are you getting the parts on? Wonder how the shocks will effect the ride, hope well!

Hey Bigger..I can do the front end this nxt week....providing the rest of my parts
show up......I think the shocks will help the front end....not alot of weight upfront....
All goes well I will get 4 more and try them on the rear......I still have FG shocks to use
Just need stronger springs & longer eyes....Super got me squared away there..........
AS to SNOW...the projected saying as much as 10 inchs at times.....But I have seen normaly about 1 inch avg....mostly Ice conditions.......Nothing like Minn or Wis
Lived in those's states for 20 years..I due not miss the sub zero weather 49*degree's
below zero............I have been in Ohio for 5 years now...mostly I call it skim snow to me
or a light powder coating.........Otherwise all ice..........

the genesis shocks work good. I am using them myself. again just need better springs. mine had the white ones though. and am using the same front end on my semi.

I have been building up an mt to sell to my friend's brother from all my parts. here's another observation. the space between the bulkheads is wider on the FH than an FG as well. the top plate thing that holds the mt tower won't bolt to the FH bulkheads as the spacing is too far apart. I have 2 different top plates and neither works. I had to start cutting a chunk of carbon last night to make one myself and will have to use the stock brace to the steering post. my dremmel's were both dead and all I had to cut was an old broken hacksaw blade. kinda halted production. had to finally give in and sleep. covered all the stuff on the dining room table and got the evil eye this morning for having the table covered for 2 days now with parts LOL.. I am awake first today here but have to get back at the build.

so there are subtle differences to watch for. my FH chassis is actually a TQ so not sure if that makes a difference, but the on road car I built yesterday is a hobby pro and it has the same spacing as the TQ on the front bulks

Hey my friend..I know that evil EYE look.....Thanks for the tip on the bulkheads
I will see when I get there for the spacing.....But should be ok when I switch chassie
pan's for the bulk heads top plate......I think TQ chassie is the same as the firehammer
chassie pan..........slaw

Pipe....I am going to be using Fg bulkheads..so there will be no problem with the top plate mount holes.....Only thing I may have to use a tall tower.......
When the chassie swap is done the is no more fire hammer parts used.....Oh take that back the A-Arms is all..the rest is all converted to fg ....Fg marder platform.....
So in that aspect I no longer have a firehammer.........I did some sizing up today for the
front end....I will have to move the shock tower forward 25mm towards the middle...
I am using a MT top plate.......Slaw
