the great thing about my type elcon a-arms at the rear is they are joined as two pieces and held together with bolts that can allow the arm to move to a distance of 10-to 15 mill aprox either way in the event of a sudden impact...

very cleverly thought out by elcon,they really do there homework with there parts..

I love the look of Elcon alloy. Mmmmmmm....nice! :)

Since he wants to run in large parking lot areas, one curb could do some good damage. All depends on the angle of the crash, etc. A plus with the Firehammer mt's is that the arms are dirt cheap, like 4 bucks a pair. I just bought some spares from Tower to have as backups. I

As to the alloy..what are we refering too?..Bulk heads or A-Arms?

I did get that 24mm socket today..yeah 1/2" drive..had to get a adapter as well
1/2 to 3/8 drive....small price to tighten up wheel nuts....
Rain day here....the slawhammer special is just sitting ..waiting for attention....
need to get fired up and hammer the hell out of it to seat the piston ring....
Now I did look at the 29CC thru the intake...seen lot of dark brown & slightly black
so that say's blow by at the piston ring.....Exhaust side is clean....
Not sure about rebuild for that engine...Maybe strip it down and save the stuffed
crank....I am going all 4 bolt cases........Like mentioned I am going to buils up
another engine for back-up 27.2CC..slightly radical.....

Csp...I am looking out for ya my friend.........

hey lads.

hey slaw csp is after making me realise another few good points here,number one if you run on a parking lot as opposed to a large field i suppose you are at a higher risk,and the fact that csp says those plastic a-arms are so cheap why would you want to bother with the alloy,apart from personal prefernce.

one very good plus point of plastic parts is weight saving gains.
sinse i have upgraded to all the alloy bling my fg weighs quite a lot.......it defo is knocking me down some hp......

any new updates slaw on your engine?

once again loving what your doing,hope you keep it up.

hey slaw check out my most recent videos on my carson onroad thread,onboard camera in car,they are very quick vids but just a new direction i am going to go with my threads sometimes.

let me know what you think of the vids this way.

dc.. the asphalt parking lot has some hazards..like 10 light poles in cement pillars
so could be easy to miss judge and smack one....There are 3 different places I can go to
for parking lot running...All have there hazards...light poles,curbs,chuck holes....
So on that note the plastic A-Arms are the way to go...At $4 buck a pair..,can't go wrong
there....I have 2 places for off road use...so just switch out the wheels....
I can go to a small beach area...but I have a open clutch system.....Not good....
dc.. what engine are we talking about?...
More than likely the thread will die once I have made all the up grades I want to make.
What else could I add ..after all that has been done to the firehammer....
But one never knows about a thread where it will end up......
Lot of great information for those that own a firehammer and want to do more
to there own unit....................................

You just don't kill a thread or let it die slowly. You find a way to add to it. Just BS'ing in it will be good enough. Maybe a new thread called "Coffee with Slaw" (a steal from Coffee with the Turtle on HBF). Except with yours people could post a question and you mock and ridicule them for kicks.

I'm having problems starting my engine. I push the bulb and there is no fuel getting in it. What should I do?

And please don't show that vase to my wife, I could see that being put in the front yard with a ton of flowers in it or some idiotic decorative tree.

you don't mean to say that you are not going to see how relibale this new firehammer is and give us comments and feedback along the way???


like i say just starting.........

i need to see how good/fast/relibale this firehammer is over time,if you only run it once a year we need feedback.

that to me makes a good forum

like my two threads,you start them from new/rebuilt then you give people info along the way with vids if possible on the relibility of the product.

like my carson thread,not everyday you see/read about 1/5th scales being tested so intensively/meticiously as my two threads.

so you should all count yourselves lucky cause i might have to start charging you all lol hahahaha:chris::lol::lol::lol:

egon..My friend from Norway....I got the new engine built up and mounted with
the RN Pipe....I have not had a chance to get it fired up yet.....
weather is nasty....Rain yesterday..today and turning to sleet /snow mix...
I am hoping for this weekend.....Thanks for asking.....
