How in the Fack have you managed thay??? How are you starting it?? An what' starters are y getting for replacements
The owners manual say to use a blow torch. Am I doing it wrong?

The hell ? you first prime the motor, put it on choke, pull a few times till it coughs, take off choke, then pull (don't extend the starter fully) a couple times and it should start.

I’m joking but I did go through 2 last week because I decided to try the cheap ones, bought one with metal internals and everything ha been great so far

1Coopgt, is there any other turtle racing stuff that we should stay away from?
I've heard mixed reviews about their Snapper clutch, so I would opt for one that is proven reliable. I also think the biggest issue with the TR pullstart was the use of a billet starter pawl and it was extremely rough on the plastic spool. They've redesigned it to use a billet spool with a dog drive and plastic cog instead of a pawl, but I can't comment on the newer design, so I would avoid it as well. For the price, I'd probably opt for the CY pullstart again. It's historically proven as good as, or better than, the Zenoah. I've only just had to replace the cord on mine, and I've thrashed it pretty good over the years.

It's actually really nice . It's the F'n springs that suck. Also the fact that I can't figure out how to install the new spring even after reading instruction on how to do it .
I would stay away from the starter . Everything else so far seems ok.

So I'm gonna take one more crack at my pullstarts ? my zen pull.s. the thread that holds spool in stripped ?? clone B.S. spool kinda stripped where the pawl gose?? so I'm Taking chances with the zen spool and clone body ......so it will be a mix and match.?? wish me luck?
