Just curious if anyone ran a paper filter before on their rigs. I see rcmax gives you a paper filter with their engines so I can't see it being a terrible idea im just a little nervous with my uni foam filter and dust again

Ok well if it says washable then I assume it won't tear if a little wet. I'd still go with a velocity stack and triple foam filter. Oil it up and you will never have an issue. Just my $0.02.

Can't use velocity stacks with the turtle racing air box  .. and im running an uni 3" filter with a redneck dual stage pre filter so I have triple filtration but dust still got in

No worries. Its 25 bucks for the filter and it says it goes down to .1 microns which is pretty damn good. I just don't want to blow another engine

Jeez!... I was thinking of doing away with the top engine shroud because it gets dirt under there and when I need to pull the plug while out it is a hazard. I'm wondering if the dirt came thru the filter or entered another way.

I will have to experiment now. I'll post a thread when I do. Just highly doubt it would be an issue unless maybe in 100deg weather. These trucks have open windows, plenty of cooling.
