Well some instigator really bent my arm behind my back and made me buy those chassis braces ?(@dougstar ) so I ordered them. I got a tr racing 5ive t air filter which takes the baja filter(bought the blue one cause it was cheaper. Gonna de anodize it and give it a shot of neon green I think) which should fit now I've taken off the Reed adapter. Btw I did get to test fire the engine it ran so I guess I'll stick it back in. Got diff fluid and shock oil. I think that was all that was left. I haven't tore the front or rear diffs out yet. But if they leak I'll likely get alloy diffs as well. So that last bit will either show Friday or Monday. I hope Friday as my wife works a double shift and I'll have all evening to work on it (once the kids are down of course)

Cant get any harder...... kids were playing the other night. Daughter tips her pants off and proceeds to crap on the floor. In my bewilderment I failed to stop my son from crawling over and sticking his hand in it ??????? feking mess. Had to bath both kids and the carpet. Almost lost my poop right there and then. Funny but now it's just funny and it happened the other night ?
Speaking of crapping on the carpet. My cat just did that ??

Got the rest of my parts? may the fun begin

Yeah buddy thanks for telling me about them. So got about an hour after work here. Re dud the rear diff. Everything looked cherry. Filled it up with some 30k
Just a reminder theres a spacer that goes in front of the bearing closest to the pinion gear. (I almost forgot about it )

Small update
I was able to get both the front and rear diffs out and serviced this evening. The front did fluid looked like crap. Gears and pins looked good. Cleaned everything up and tossed it back together. I decided to run 30k in both the front and rear diff this time around see how that does. Hopefully I'll get to the center diff tomorrow. I did figure out why I kept breaking sway bar links (on the front at least) my right front a arm had a small tweak to it. I didnt even notice till I had both the front a arms laying on top of each other and they didnt lay flat.
Redid the CV shafts and boots. Put new pins in all around. After it eats this set of factory pins I'll get the flm 4ever axles. As I'd have to buy another set of stock axles anyway. I'm a little miffed with the steering boys borderline of should be replaced but I had some spare plastic bits for it and tossed them on for now. Also realized my steering servo horn set screw had worked loose a bit (my fault) it worked the alloy a bit. So I'll have to order a new one ? or I may order the FID push pull steering set up.ill try to get some pics up tomorrow.
Aren't straight cut gears stronger? I see high hp drag cars use straight cut right?
They can be depending on application. I have 4th and 5th gear in my trans behind my diesel straight cut for strength but they are also a different material and very noisy. They have almost a constant wine to them. And I was told they wont last as long due to less contact surface. But I'm haven't stripped them out yet..

Here's some update pics from today. Had a little time to get some more done. I was able to boot all the center cv's except center diff joints. As a note to the FLM center shafts. They have little bolts to lock the pin in from the ends. (Silver color bolt) they needed trimmed down by half so they didnt bind the CV. I would have thought FLM wouldnt have missed a detail like this. I tried to get a decent shot of that tweaked A arm. It's kinda hard to see it. I sure don't know how I did it. May be a hard landing. The shock on that arm was just along for the ride. Didnt have any fluid in it. It has a bit of a tight spot when you cycle it by hand so the shaft is bent a bit too. Got the steering back to about 90% just gonna save up and get the FID setup ordered here soon. Got the trans mount in and the FLM chassis braces.... they just look great ?
