I love 5ive-t's so much I bought another one?

Paid $700 on ebay for it. It's a v1 the OG 5ive. Seems to be in really good shape. Here's a few pics

@Clubin it must have been used a couple times judging by the pics. For today's market I think it was a fair price. Speaking of old, what year did this 5ive-t debut?

Unfortunately I do not forsee any of my 5ives's touching dirt again. I do have a hybrid that I'll be eventually getting too junkie and that will see dirt.

I cheated. I figured it was over 10 years ago. But they’ve been out a long time. I remember buying my first hpi. 5t then this came out.

I'm happy with finding an 11 year old rig that has stood the test of time and self control of running it. I'll post up pics when it shows up

Well it's back together now, as I like to do when I have the 2 variants of the 5ive together I like to see what can cross over. So as of now the 2.0 center diff tower with the 2.0 brakes and 58t v1 spur does work and fit, the only thing that needs to be changed is the stock mesh inserts need to be ditched and you need to adjust the mesh yourself. Here's a clip of the v1 running of Vp M1 methonal and motul micro 2t oil.

I decided to make my own methonal velocity stack. I just roughed this in and im working with a 100 year old sears and roebuck lathe.

Nice work. I have a lathe like that too. Sure is a hell of a lot better than nothing.

Here's the close to final product. Just have to bore the holes for the bolts to sit on.

So it's finished, can ran into a wall with making a ledge for the bolts so I dremeled it. I'd counter sink the holes next time.

the next go will be a obr power stack style to see what the engine likes better.

I have to get a longer bolt, i know 1 odd ball bolt just to hold it up
