im on it mate im ready to go out just waiting for it to stop pissing it down

the pullstarts been playing about for ages but they don't like the tps flywheel as its billet and very sharp were pawl hits so dr dremel has smoothed the sharp bits and its much better now

had to do a last min rear shock seal replacement i had noticed a small patch of shock oil on the shelf and one shock was near empty the little orange oring were shot to peices so got them both done all good now fronts are sweet for time being

the rain looks to be clearing up,so may be all systems go if i can get hold of wagon
 
there is another thread with these vids but i thought id put them heres as well,had great fun power wheelies a few rolls but a good shake down everythings spot on,diff was set a tad tight and caused most the rolls no damage done

i ran it a bit rich due to it being new and tight next time out ill tune it up and get the other gears on 20/44 but was happy how it went on stock gearing it wasnt screeming like the 23cc but it was pulling a dam site harder and poping good wheelies,in the next few tanks its going to free up a bit and be mental,it only hit 17650rpms in those runs but felt so much more and not as under geared as i thought it would be

Nice Ren cant wait to see it tuned and at full tilt. Quick question mate been lookin at possibly getting some breaks for the KM and noticed you got cable ones are they any good or would it be worth spending the extra for hydro's?
 
ive got hydro rear layshaft and fg tuning cables on the front with bigger disc mod there good when set up ok but id love hydros its all about budget mate but with my setup ive got more than enough stoping power
 
There's no doubting hydros are more powerful - need a well-braced servo plate and a good strong servo - I use Savox 1256TG's - but I had the experience of hydros.
A lot was my ignorance, admitted, but I found I was spending more time bleeding bubbles out of the hydros than I was actually to the rest of the truck - FG MT - and 'playing with it', so I've reverted to 'Tuning Cables'.
I can nearly lock the wheels - and that's an 18Kg MT with MCD tyres on - squarer section than the FG ones.
Many say they've no such problems with the hydros, and I believe them.

I'm sticking the the cable brakes for now and I'll see how I get on ... and how the piggy bank is!!!

To be honest, I got fed up of trying this, changing that, with brake fluid leaking everywhere, heaving the truck upside down to get the bleed point the highest, then fathing around with the syringe, bleeding the calipers ......
Simple when you know how with a reliable system, but I didn't properly, and had a failing one ....
I thought, if I fancy a quick blast outside, and next door's lad comes around to ask if mine will come out, the truck doesn't stop ..... better something I know will stop.
I spat the dummy.
I tried changing bleed screws, O-ring / sealing rubbers, .... the pistons are fine.

i don't think you can beat hydos but its there cost thats a killer when you want them all round on both cars,,but the bigger discs that ive fitted to the bug work realy good and much better than with the stock size disc,the touring cars on cables all round and that stops well
 
hi mate not used bug since last vid or touring car but i feel the need for speed so wont be long just brought some more ebay upgrades for the cars will post up details as bits arrive mostly for the on road,,,but have brought a key chain camera a 4gb one for some incar footage im going to mount it like the ecu so it can fit both cars how im not sure but i want it to look through windscreen in both cars
 
rain didnt stop play today nowt worth watching on tv and fed up of just looking at the bug sitting on the shelf,,,so got it out was mental fun destroyed the footy pitch brought half of it back with me i think cars mega dirty,,had nearly a full tank of fun till the steering packed in and called it a day don't know whats up with it at a guess it got a tad wet,,,its going to take a month to clean the thing now ,,,,,couldnt get vids as i was on my own but did take some pics of the aftermath

all clean and ready to go again servos sorted wasnt due to water but a wire had come loose inside the servo on the little pot thingy so alls good to go again result another cost free run
 
Looks like you had a good run mate :cool: Thats a snug fit in the boot of the cab - made to measure!! Going to get mine sorted this week if I can but its a tight squeeze with 5 of us in the van so will have to see what I can do. Hoping to come down next wk tho so will try my hardest to get it finished :o
 
bug fits ok but the beemer is tight fit that ends up on the back seats,,,its not as bad with the on road as it stays quite clean compared to the bug that was caked today and took a good couple of hours to clean but its all fixed and ready to go for when you come down mate ill get them both out that day

will do dwarfy you bringing the 4wd i hope im intested in seeing this conversion go i think with the weight difference and the extra grip and drive from the 4wd im not feeling to confident the bugs going to keep up in the corners but im going to be passing you plenty with my front wheels in the air on the straights
 
brought another pair of front hpi wheels with the standard dirt busters and black star wheels ive got a pair of rears spare and i had robbed the front tyres from the desperados to go on my silverback wheels with the hostile style tyres so ive now got 2 complete sets of wheels and tyres and a brand new set of hpi star wheels waiting for sand paddles or tarmac busters
