Snap on, Matco, or Mac. Might need to order online, but they make top notch stuff. Prepare your wallet though, it won't be cheap.
Tekton is nice too. Actually my Lowes 3/8" was surprisingly accurate also.

Does husky make a inch pound wrench? I looked for one a few years ago but didnt see any
I've never checked. Doug used the tekton and liked it so I gave it a try. I used to have an old craftsman 1/4", but it didnt give a definitive click like the tekton does.

the Halfords advanced range is very good....?..and no quibble replacement if anything brakes even with no recepit they sort it?

Do you guys actually torque down your rigs? I never have once, they just get as tight as I can get em and I call it good. No issues yet, but perhaps im playing with fire.
Only when it comes to the engine.

For the diy-ers, if it works then it's okay. If you understand the proper building procedures and why, it's one less thing to worry about and can sometimes help diagnose a failure.

I work on 1:1 cars and motorcycles and engines as another hobby of mine and also torque everything down to spec cause I only want to do the job once. I would hate to under torque something and have an air leak or over torque something and strip out threads or break a bolt. To me it just seems right. My brother on the other hand is old school and has never torqued a bolt either. Gives it the old umph, good to go torque??Hmm? cant say ive ever done it. not really, I just use my calibrated arm an maybe sum loctite. Only time I did was with the 70cc and that female dog still leaked. Obr going strong without no torque wrench.??

All the engines I've rebuilt in my life theres very few things that require a torque wrench. But having said that. The first year I started to rebuild engines I was forced to torque everything. Other then head, mains, and the few other necessary things to use a torque wrench on I can get very close by hand. For what it's worth I have snap-on torque wrenches. Set you back about $600.00 each. Auto calibration, does angles forward and reverse and any conversion from metric to std you would ever need.
