i finaly took the merv out for a squirt, i ran almost 2 x 3s lipos throught it with out thermal shut down, it was cool this arvo around 74 degree's Fahrenheit so that would of helped it run cooler as normaly iits been pritty dam hot when ive been running it.
i ended up stopping just befor the second battery was finshed cause some kids where running a muck down the park, so i didnt try any 2s lipos on the 19t pinion, but 3s is still pritty quick, i think i might be hitting the rev limet on 3s with the 19t pinion, not sure, it could of just been me but it seamed like it after holding full throttle for around 50 meters.
i forgot the temp gun again, but i was only around the corner, so i checked the temp when i got home aprox 5 or 6 mins after i turned it off, it was 166.28 degree's Fahrenheit, by memory traxxas say 200 degrees Fahrenheit tops for the motor, i personal think ive had it hotter then that befor, but i keep going and don't worry unless the esc goes into thermal shut down, but my guess is the motor would off been not far 176 degree Fahrenheit as soon as i stopped running it.
