Just been listening to that app here in Oz

Its not. After they already destroyed everyone's lives with a lockdown, a bunch of hooligans burned down what was left. Did a lot of reading on what started this last night. Ill start off by saying the leg to the neck was to much. The man was no threat after 10 seconds on the ground. Yet some other points need to be made, as they're valid. First off, he never would have ran into the cops if he wasn't passing fake money. He is the sole reason for the encounter. Next, the autopsy showed he had 2 major heart issues. If the autopsy is believed he was a timebomb waiting to go. Lastly was the amount of serious drugs in his system. I know the initial tests aren't super accurate, but its usually not that far off base. The man had opiates and stimulants in his system. Neither of wich hang around long (72hrs usually). That alone will kill ya, toss in extreme stress and forget about it. Also lets throw "I can't breath" in the trash were it belongs. You cant talk if you cant breath, and he was talking. Not to mention every suspect says stuff like that. My laymans guess on what killed him is a heart attack brought on by a perfect storm of events, caused by mr. Floyd himself. Ill finish by repeating the cop was a overzealous ahole who went to far. Imo a manslaughter charge is more appropriate, as I doubt he had any intention of killing him. Did I miss anything?

I'm not gonna get into it to much,but 21bb did you know they knew each other. They worked the same security job. It's been said the victim is the one who fired said officer.
They are starting to look into that aspect.
The owner of the place they worked seems to be trying to diminish that part,saying one was indoor and the other out door security.I think they worked there 17yrs,so crossover is definitely possible. The owner seems to be trying to cover her butt.
There's just way more to this story,will we ever find out the truth -more likely not but who knows?.
There are forces outside of the situation that are using this for a different agenda and to diminish the original reason for the protests.
This has been a strategy for along time. It happens every time with paid bused in actor- protesters and staged scenes etc. You definitely cannot believe what you read, see or hear on many situations anymore.Those days are long gone.
Now everything is used as a opportunity for manipulation, control or persuasion to change your opinion.

i wrote a 800 word response and after reading it over, I realized it was way to intense to post on a Rc forum

all I’m a say is... what those cops did was wrong, they all need to be held accountable and given the heaviest penalty.
Think of all the crimes they committed that never got recorded ??

I would say that over 80% of those protesting are just doing it for SOCIAL MEDIA FAME and to take selfies in the crowd ??‍
Very few are there to do the right thing with good intentions .....

Sorry, but gotta throw the BS flag on this one. Does racism exist? Of course it does. Is it endemic, tainting everything? Absolutely not. Not only that, but every race has racists, but only one race gets hammered for the actions of a few nonstop. Its exactly this attitude that make people like me throw my hands up and say screw it. If you want to pretend every race doesn't have bigots I don't know what to say. Willful ignorance I guess, because its in plain sight for all to see. We not only elected a black president in this country, we reelected him. Doesn't seem we're plagued by racists in a majority white country if that happened does it? Sure they exist, and exist among us all. The sooner we stop pretending otherwise, the sooner we can hopefully move past it and carry on. Have you ever been afraid of being shot when you're pulled over for a traffic violation? As a white person I sure haven't, but I have many friends who live their entire lives in such fear.

I was running a bar some years ago at a hotel. I had a group of white Chicago cops in my lounge one night. They were visiting town for a demolitions class. They were fine and polite until they started getting in their cups and the "N" word started getting used to an excessive degree. I politely asked them to refrain from using that language in my bar. It instantly turned into what I thought was going to be the last night of my life. I cannot express the explosion of hatred that faced me within an instant, simply for asking them to stop using a racial epithet. There was no excuse of avoiding personal responsibility in my world that night. I made a request that certain language was no longer used and was threatened with a hate crime immediately.

There is a system of racist suppression within this country that runs deeper than the immediate issues. It's been in place for a long time and as long as people like you continue to deny that it exists, we will never overcome it. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. It's not meant for you in the first place.

FYI, this incident happened during the tenure of our black president. His election was not a symbol of our country entirely transcending racism. That's a false confirmation bias.

Are you seriously using a anecdote to show a systematic problem? Roughly 15 years ago I was robbed and pounded a bit in harlem by a group of minorities while being called a few choice words. Does that make me oppressed? Ill leave this debate, that I was admittedly foolish for dipping my toes into with this. Look at the actual data on police shootings of unarmed people. Not a news story, how you feel, or what a friend said. I think you're gonna be shocked by what you find. The vast majority don't make the news. Yes racism is real, and unfortunately not going anywhere. Luckily only a small minority among EVERY race firmly holds those beliefs. One thing alone holds the vast majority of blame for the poor staying poor, broken families, not racism. The data on that is readily available too.
