Im still betting its that crusty old sludge fuel you're using. You'd be suprised what bad fuel can do. Plus its a dirt cheap thing to check. Fresh fuel and plug and you're good. And a bad plug will let your engine run, just like poop.

sure. But wtf is the clanking/rattling?? That's what I'm more concerned about. I am pretty much out of that gas so I have to get new anyway. I'll change the plug , go 28:1 (so you can get off my ass) with fresh fuel.

Some sort of detonation? Your flywheel was messed up, perhaps its moved a bit on keyway? Throwing timing off. Just trying to help buddy, always try the cheap stuff first.?

Keyway looks fine, so does the key. It was also running fine after I put it back together after the flywheel fell off. I just noticed this today, last run was after the run with the crash and I don't think it was doing this. Maybe detonation? Didn't bang a hole yet in the piston so that's good if it is detonation.
Detonation makes a sound btw? Didn't know that
