Also..did u have it rubber mounted at the nearest point to the crack?or was it hard mounted?....may b a stress fracture?

Was not the original mount but it did have a bita rubber....... so might have just been stressed a bit........

Guad admit GRRRRR ! Could be not work out why I was getting oil on the outside ot the bartalone pipe. Gonna see if I can have it fixed...... . Hope so would have to have it re chromed........... guad hope so

Um there is no penetration in that weld. Looks like it was brazed and very poorly at that .If that's a Bartalone I would email pictures of that to them and say what the F*** . Did you buy it From them or DDM?

This is also why I don't like chromed pipes it hides imperfections and bad welds. Chromed pipes are usually just welded steel or in Rovans case Aluminum or tin not quite sure . I prefer raw Stainless steel or TI . Granted they are more expensive.

That sucks ? I've had a pipe split at the mount before, mine was a bzm Baja side pipe.
If you do have to get it rewelded a plate like this on my sh custom pipe might be best

Hey thanks mark the extra bit of plate looks like the right thing to do?? gonna see if I can find a spot to weld it up today

after a long wait i got my rebuild kit from OBR the other day. so to today i stripped the top end off ?
put a new head gasket and while i was there i put a new piston ring? took some pics along the way.
can see on the left where the gasket was blown oil all on the bell housing?

the old head gasket can see where it was leaking

the new ring cleaned the block off with a razor

got to use my new torque wrench

now maybe the issues will go away

Took my rig out today after the head gasket ring change. Im please to say i gave it a right going over and every thing held up??
no leaks or breaks. it was only one full tank but im sure if there was going to be an issue i would found it??

so i had all the good intentions to go out with the losi today
got all amped cut some new hole in my body for some extra air flo
got out the worlds smallest angle grinder disc marking pen and set to work.
things were all good for about 15 mins and my pull start snapped ?
took some pics??





bought some new silicone tubing for the exhaust coupler. found a car shop sell it works really well


on the plus side coz its been quite muddy my rig got a good clean???

get some they are the losi stock bead locks they are the v1 new ones v2 are slightly different
got some cord redid the starter pulled my air filter washed it and the spares
now just to re oil and try again tomorrow


next ones are for jimbo?

bottom one was just in my rig.....could have been over oiled


all clean for the next few rounds?

I did total maybe 10/15 mins. I was playing with carb it cut out next pull I got a snapped pull start?
